Have you ever performed CPR, mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, or the Heimleich maneuver on someone in an emergency?

  • Да, приходилось.
  • Many times...
  • Yes,  the Heimleich maneuver on my uncle in Guatemala.
He was choking on something during a birthday party and everyone was in panic.
My aunts were screaming. I performed the Heimleich and he was fine. I didnt get
a thank you, but that's not what bothered me. what bothered me was that later
everyone all of the sudden was the one who had the idea of the heimleich.
My aunt Debora in particular claimed she was the one that saved his life.

  • Need something to write about and the official Writer's Block archive not cutting it? Well come on over to , where we have over 500 old Writer's Blocks archived! Never run out of things to write about ever again! Also, if you're *still* bored after that, come over to this entry to answer our question "If you could write a Writer's Block, what would it be?"
  • Many times. I am a physician.
  • Yes. It was so awkward because it was the guy I liked.
  • This is an honest answer. Never. But I have practiced on a dummy and I've seen my mom perform CPR on my dad.
If there was a situation where someone needs the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, I might do it. I don't want anyone to die right in front of me. I don't know how to do the chocking thingy.

  • Both. Because unlike certain dipshits at the local PD, I can actually tell when someone is "faking it" or not. Tell-tale signs being purple face, beet-red eyes, not moving and not breathing. =\
  • HAH. Not actually, but I do practice on people. BTW, not caled Heimleich anymore because the guy's a douche and was all "I came up with it so everytime you mention my name you gotta pay me royalties". So it's called abdominal thrusts. :)
