  • 1977: Year of the Snake.  Specifically on the 5 element cycle year of the Fire Snake.

"the Snake symbolizes such character traits as intelligence, gracefulness and materialism. When it comes to decision-making, Snakes are extremely analytical and as a result, they don’t jump into situations. They are effective at getting the things they want, even if it means they have to scheme and plot along the way.  "

"Fire Snakes are more extroverted, forever offering opinions and telling others what’s on their minds. Even so, others enjoy listening to Fire Snakes. They’re very persuasive and are especially good at convincing others that their ways are best."

Most the qualities there are not just correct but are DEAD on.  With the exception of Materialism in the most common use of the word.  People who know me would disagree, and so would I to the extent that I have no love of 'finer things' but on the other hand I am very materialistic in the fact that im extremely particular in what objects I place value in.  I just dont use the same standards as people normally described as materialistic but within the realm of what i do like i end up scoffing at things that -dont- meet my preferences.

While we're on the topic of horoscopes I should probably admit that I place no weight in their accuracy.  Its more like you get a jumble of randomness and vague statements that fit so many situations and personalities and experiences that it would make sense no matter what if you just take the meaning of the words with a grain of salt.  That out of the way I've found one book that gives me near morbid levels of ironic pleasure at how it describes my particular birthday.  I'm born on November 29th which is astrologically known as the "Day of the Instigator".  And as with all things horoscopic I dont think it predicted who I was, BUT this one particular book managed to be so accurate it gives me a good laugh.  I got nothing else to say on this topic but I am gonna post the insanely long description of Nov 29th just for anyone who does know me personally and would like to see what im talking about:

Those born on Nov 29th have a knack for provoking others -- sometimes to thought, at other times to conflict.  They like to stir up the pot and usually their presence alone leads to some change in the status quo.  Sometimes branded as troublemakers, they are not overly concerned with what others think of them.

Nov 29 people know how to push emotional buttons.  They can get great mileage out of a cutting comment, a raised eyebrow or a telling silence.  They may in fact regard themselves as watchdogs of the truth, and woe to anyone who presumes to depart from it!  Their capacity to punish such transgressors can be frightening, since they know exactly where and when to strike.  They must beware, however, that just punishment does not turn sadistic and lose its underlying integrity.

Nov 29 people may not contribute so much to the stability of social and political institutions but they certainly keep them honest and on their toes.  In their personal life those born on this day do tend to hang in there and can actually provide security for their family and friends in the long run.  They are a bit like a stationary hurricane -- whirling around but not necesarily leaving anytime soon.  Those who dare to enter into the hurricanes eye can be sure that they will be protected from harmful outside influences.

The person who suffers most, ordinarily, from the labile emotions and unsettled feelings of a Nov 29 person is that person him/herself.  They may cause trouble for others, but it is difficult to imagine what it is like to be under their skin.  This feeling of being uncomfortable with themselves and at the mercy of their own internal process is one which more perceptive people can see in them.

As far as ambition and drive are concerned, Nov 29 people are usually far too busy with everyday matters and their own personal problems to think about conquering the world.  Socially and careerwise, they often reach a certain level and stay there.  However, through their talent for surviving attacks they may be able to go on wielding their provocative influences for quite a long time.  If there is a danger that they will be deposed from their perch, it is most likely from colleagues who grow tired of wrestling with them over matters of contention.  The same thing may be true of patient mates and friends, who eventually figure that life would be a lot simpler (albeit more boring) without their contentiousness.  If Nov 29 people wish to have a happier life they must learn to be a bit less provocative and sometimes let things run their own course.

  • My Chinese Astrology sign is the Boar, the Wild Boar.. otherwise known as swine..? Sorry, I guess we started the swine flu..! Just kidding.. it's slowing down now, so we can make fun of it.. I had a feeling it wouldn't be that bad.

  • My chinese zodiac is the rooster. I don't get that. Is it like, the rooster gets up first in the morning? If so, then I definitely don't fit the bill. I'm usually last up with the sleepiest head you'll ever see!
  • Personality

Occupying the 9th position on the Chinese Zodiac, the Monkey possesses such character traits as curiosity, mischievousness, intelligence or cleverness. Forever playful, Monkeys are the masters of practical jokes.

Although they are inherently intellectual and creative, Monkeys at times have trouble exhibiting these qualities. When that happens, they appear to others to be confused. But nothing could be further from the truth as Monkeys thrive on being challenged. Monkeys prefer urban life to rural, and their favorite pastime is people-watching.

Personality: They got it for the most part :)

Believing that being sick is a waste of a valuable day, Monkeys very rarely feel ill. Their constantly active lifestyles are likely what helps Monkeys remain in good health. When Monkeys do become ill, such feelings are generally the result of feeling nervous. But when Monkeys become unhappy as a result of romance, they quickly become sick.

    Health: Yep..

When it comes to work, Monkeys can do just about anything. They adapt well to changing environments and they’re very intelligent. They work quickly, but they’ll frequently charge double for their services. Good career fields for Monkeys are accounting and banking. Other good careers for Monkeys include: scientist, engineer, stock market trader, air traffic controller, dealer, film director, jeweler and sales representative.

Career: Its alright, but as for the last two sentences... Fuck most of that except film director and engineer.

When it comes to relationships, Monkeys aren’t quick to settle down. In fact, they generally are promiscuous; a tendency that probably has to do with the fact that Monkeys are easily bored. Monkeys will end this type of behavior once they pair up with the perfect partner. In fact, more often than not, they’ll commit to that person in every way for life.

Relationships: ...nail on the head friends, nail on the head.

    Water Monkey – Years 1932 and 1992

Water Monkeys are extremely sensitive and often feel hurt by the things that are said to them. They refuse to show their sensitive side and emotions to others and as a result, are extreme jokesters. If they can stay focused, they can succeed, but more often than not, they’re easily distracted from their goals.

  • Rabbit Occupying the 4th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Rabbit symbolizes such character traits as creativity, compassion, and sensitivity. Rabbits are friendly, outgoing and prefer the company of others. They also prefer to avoid conflict. In confrontational situations, Rabbits approach calmly and with consideration for the other party. Rabbits believe strongly in friends and family and lacking such bonds can lead to emotional issues. Their serene nature keeps Rabbits from becoming visibly upset. Because they’re serene animals, Rabbits are easily taken advantage of. Their sensitive nature makes them shy away from aggressive or competitive situations. They’re overall conservative and not interested in taking risks. Classy, sophisticated, expressive, well-mannered and stylish, those born under the Sign of the Rabbit enjoy leaning about cultural issues and learning about people from other countries. Rabbits are most comfortable being home, and their homes are always neat and organized. Home is also where Rabbits prefer to entertain. Rabbits are conservative in their decorating tastes. Rabbits should work at building more self-confidence and self-worth so they can feel more secure. The desire for remaining in safe, comfortable environments keeps Rabbits from taking risks which sometimes causes them to miss out on good opportunities. Health Even though Rabbits don’t usually get visibly upset or stressed, they do tend to keep these feelings inside. When they don’t express these feelings, such feeling can cause Rabbits to become ill. Rabbits could benefit from more everyday activity which would reduce their stress levels and better their health. Relationships Rabbits are very sexual, but tend to give more of themselves than they should. This can lead to unrealistic expectations and unhealthy situations. Rabbits need partners who won’t take advantage of their giving nature. Such pairings will be strong. Career Rabbits are articulate and good communicators which is why friends and acquaintances seek out their advice. It’s also why Rabbits make excellent diplomats and politicians. Other good careers for Rabbits include: writer, publisher, actor, fashion designer, therapist, doctor, administrator, public relations, and teacher. Rabbits and the 5 elements Fire Rabbits – Years 1927 and 1987 Fire adds spark to the Rabbit’s personality and all that Fire Rabbits do. Fire compels Rabbits to seek new adventures. Prone to tantrums, Fire Rabbits prefer to avoid conflict. --To be honest i fit most of this very well
  • Dragon
I think it suits me well.

  • Я собака,только гуляющая сама по себе....

  • My Chinese zodiac animal is the goat.  The description fits me, but I think it's really funny that I have 4 goats and they are my favorite animal.
  • I was born in the year of the horse and I have to say that it matches me very well.
  • Born in 1986 under the Year of the (Fire) Tiger. Gotta admit, I'm quite stubborn, expressive and a tad eccentric (maybe replace "a tad" with "very.") However, I wouldn't say I'm always positive, I'd say more realistic borderline pessimistic. Though even when appearing calm, I can bounce back :)
