I planned on going in and having fun, drunk you know, the way you need to enter into the new year, but that wasn't how it took place however, I over did it with the alcohol and ended up blacking out and throwing up. The last thing I saw for the end of 2008 was 10:38 and shit I do not for the life of me know what happened from there.
Since then though lots of thing have taken place. I have stepped up and trying to mature, enlisting in the corps, and down to exercising, and just helping out to keep the house cleaned up. Drinking more water, less pop. Different things, I cant really say any of which were a set resolution but they all are little things I have spent my time trying to be better at and so far have done a decent job...
I'm a few weeks late on this one, but what the hell:
Ryan and I spent NYE at our friends' house, where there was a pretty big party going on. We drank, watched the ball drop on TV, etc. etc. I had a few beers, then did 3 shots of Jack with one of my friends followed by another beer or so. Needless to say, I wasn't feeling too terribly well after all of that (surprise), so I went out to my car and sat in there for a few minutes to chill out. Ryan came out to the car and I told him I wasn't feeling too well and then it hit me like a ton of bricks-- I quickly opened the car door and *BLEGHHH* all over my friends' driveway. :(
Felt a lot better after I got it all out of my system! Went back inside, socialized with everyone that was still there for a bit longer and then passed out in my friend Nichole's room on her [super-comfy!] bed.
Moral of the Story: Liquor BEFORE beer, etc. etc. (as the saying goes).
I spent a couple hours of it in the Emergency Room to find out that I have some severe bronchitis. I coughed and coughed and coughed and it hurt to talk, eat, move. So I laid in bed and drifted in and out of consciousness while watching Cold Case. Then I watched the ball drop on television. I was suppose to be working, which would have, in my opinion, been worth it. Then I would be around more people that I know, care about, etc.. and would have gotten paid for it too..*sigh*
I stayed at home,
and since Im an old lady
I was tired round 1, and went
to bed to watch some tele
before I fell asleep.
I wish you the happiest New Year babes.
I rang out all my refregenerator and mini-bar as it was plannedXD
Ok so this is a little late... but oh well. Like that's ever stopped me.
I went out and partied my ass off at my friends house with some other people. At first we sat around playing 'Never Have I Ever...' with many people taking shots of chocolate syrup, while the one girl and I took shots of that grape juice crap that would be good if there was some alchol in it. But there were little kids around so oh well. Then we went outside and lit sparklers... and had fun watching the sparks fly off them only to die in the snow (by the way it was freezing out there... my hands were bright red). We watched movies, played games and other stuff until like 11:30, when we went down to another part of the village to go watch the ball drop... while I called a couple friends and listened to how a sake shot contest was going. After that we went back to my friends house, talked about the previous year, lamented, and finally passed out on her furniture... only to wake up at 11:30 the next morning.
In my opinion... it's a good way to spend the last hours of the old year, and the first hours of the new year.
Spending it with the dog by myself at my Dad's house.
First off, happy new year to everyone. Due to not being a very good journal writer, Today's will be a writer's block question.I had spent my last seven hours of 2008 with several of my friends. We hung out in a garage and played card games, one of which is called "Mafia." Strange name, no?
^^; I believe that's all I really have to say for today.
Until next time,
I rang in the New Year Barndancing at NYO. And drinking lots of NON-alcoholic punch. And then singing Auld Lang Syne.
