Maybe something that has something to do with my life, after all, isn't a novel a lot like a chapter in someone's life? They often portray their plots like that. -
This is a novel about an emotionally & physically abused family and their interactions after their last living parent dies. In othr words "all hell breaks loose".

У меня была замечательная мама, которая была мне настоящим другом. Ей была интересна моя жизнь. Я любила подолгу с ней разговаривать обо всем на свете. Мне было очень интересно ее мнение, ее взгляды. Она меня учила такту, благодарности, естественности. Так вот, у нас с ней совершенно отсутствовало (у меня и сейчас этого нет) умение парировать любые нападки. Короче, за словом в карман мы лезли. Умение некоторых (как в игре в пинг-понг) быстро реагировать просто восхищало. Мама называла таких людей сильными личностями. Мамы давно уже нет... А мне по-прежнему нравится в людях эта черта. Может оттого, что я так не умею? Заметила, что им многое удается благодаря хорошо "подвешенному языку". Но Анна Ахматова говорила, что зачастую косноязычие свойственно людям с богатым внутренним миром.
