Summary: Images not uploading to original size
Original Request:
I just noticed this problem, along with another one.

I am using SeMagic to upload/post entries, and noticed that LJ scrapbook is resizing all my images to 300x200 pixels, AND the images are blocked from viewing in SeMagic - There's an 18+ placeholder in the client. I did not have this problem before, and SeMagic is up to date. Only after a recent update of LJ did this issue occur.

So, what's going on and how can I fix it?

Thank you.

Thank you for inquiry and I apologize for a delay with the reply.

Scrapbook creates resized versions of all uploaded images, keeping the original size all the same. However, the size you are referring to is most likely the size of the 18+ placeholder itself. Placeholder is not a resized image, it's a separate image of fixed size, which is displayed instead of an actual image marked as adult (regardless of its size) for users whose age is not confirmed to be older than 18.

You've marked your account as containing adult content, thus all images inherit the adult status. Unfortunately, it's not possible to view adult images in clients or apps at the moment. To see such images you need to login to LiveJournal account in a browser.

LiveJournal developers are aware of this issue; they are investigating the problem and will take the appropriate actions to resolve it. I apologize for the inconvenience this issue causes you until it is fixed.

If you wish to reconsider the adult status of your account, you can disable "Adult Content" setting at https://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/?cat=display.

Still waiting for a fix. The placeholder image continues to force-resize my images when I post via seMagic. Uploading the images to scrapbook and placing them in the LJ native post editor results in locked images.

I do not have faith in you guys fixing this, since it's been nearly 3 months now. I will
NOT disable my adult content rating because I POST adult content. That's the point of the filter.
