Summary: Saving settings
Original Request:
How do I make my journal open to a specific friend without having to reset it for every post I enter? I keep having to go into settings, friends, and add this friend for every post.

I added this friend to my friend list, but I still have to change it every time so that she can see it.

Thank you for inquiry.

You can add that friend to a custom friend group and post entries, setting their security to that group. For information about custom friends groups please refer FAQ at [https://www.livejournal.com/support/faq/102.html]. Please make sure to click the "Save changes" button at the bottom of the page after creating a group or adding a user to it.

Please note that if you set minimal entry security level, you won't be able to post entries with less restrictive security level, as explained at https://www.livejournal.com/support/faq/120.html#minsecurity. If you wish most of your entries to be posted without such restrictions, you can change the minimal security level.
