Summary: Ugly new lj design, nothing at link given
Original Request:
Url: https://sagaluthien.livejournal.com/820676.html?mode=reply#add_comment
New design for lj - BLAH WHITE backgrounds, things removed, e.g., information about use, such as email address, birthday, on Profile page no longer shown.
Unattractive, unwanted, totally unhelpful changes. Did someone get a raise for coming up with a new idea, a bad idea at that?
Please, give lj users the choice to use previous - most better - lj layout. Mhy Profile page looks awful.

Another annoying new & useless thing from lj - message asking if one is over 18 years of age, blah, blah. Gives link to Display page to click and keep message from showing again and - so typical of lj - there is nothing on Display page to click to get rid of unnecessary new message. Users have ALREADY INDICATED that they are >18 years old. Why does lj try to reinvent the wheel?

Put back previous lj layout please and stop asking users to click on things already noted in their accounts.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Users can decide whether they wish to display their email address, other contact data or birthday on profile page regardless of the LiveJournal design version. Those settings can be changes at https://www.livejournal.com/manage/profile/.

The case with 18+ age restriction may happen for users, who originally registered with a birthdate indicating that they have not reached the proper age. Your buzziecat account doesn't fall under this case, and you have the old version of LiveJournal design enabled for your account.

If other users have any questions, they can submit a support request at https://www.livejournal.com/support/submit/, following the guidelines found in FAQ at [http://www.livejournal.com/support/faq/348.html#recommendations].
