Summary: unable to "directly" log in to respond to comments
Original Request:
When I get a message from LJ that there's a new comment in an LJ that I follow, I can't get logged in via "read this entry" or "reply to this entry" or "read recent entries" -- when I click and go to the entry and then click "log in" the screen goes grey. The only way I can get logged into any friend's or community's LJ is if I go to my profiles and click on the user name of the friend or the community, and then I have to go through the various recent entries to find the one I couldn't log into directly.

Is there some way I can short-cut this and go back to the way it used to work to give me a direct connection to logging into that specific item that was in the message?
