Original Request:
Url: the share area
Hi:

I was wondering, I wanted to share some of my posts on my lj, but today I found out livejourmal won't allow me to repost on my own blog. Why is that?

Thank you.

Thank you for your inquiry.

The behavior of the Share menu has been modified. The "LiveJournal" button in the Share menu now creates a repost in your journal. It's not possible to make a repost of your own entry in your own journal as the entry is already posted there.

As an alternative for the old sharing feature the new "Embed" feature has been implemented. You can use it to share your own entries to your journal or to communities. Select "Embed" in the Share menu, copy the code and then insert it in the HTML editor or through the "Insert media" button at https://www.livejournal.com/update.bml.
