What are Virtual Gifts? How do I purchase, remove, or disable them?

Virtual Gifts, available in the LiveJournal Gift Shop, are small images you can purchase and deliver to your friends with an optional personalized note.
The last eight Virtual Gifts you have received display on your User Profile page. You can remove a Virtual Gift from your User Profile page by clicking the gift and selecting the Remove Gift button in the lower right-hand corner.

A complete list of your Virtual Gifts is linked from the statistics section at the top of your User Profile page. You can remove a Virtual Gift permanently by clicking the gift to view more information about it, then clicking the Delete Permanently button.

Virtual Gifts are enabled by default, but you can disable them or enable them back. At the bottom of the page, you also have several options for restricting which Virtual Gifts you will receive, both by the type of sender and the type of gift.

If you receive $10 worth of purchased virtual gifts within two weeks, two months of bonus account with Professional package of service time will be added to your account. Free sponsored virtual gifts do not count toward the two months of bonus account with Professional package of service time.
