This is a tad random, but...
Is there any saying in Japanese similar to the English "I'm running late?"
As in, I'm not late yet, but I will be if I don't hurry?
Because all the words for "late" I've seen so far (遅刻, 遅れる) refer to the state of already being late... Unless the nuance of "running late" is in some conjugation of these words/verbs as well?
I'm writing a little speech detailing how I would usually be running late for school when I was in Japan. (well, I do that in America too...xD)

I understand that the particle "zo" is something that's used to emphasize a point. I also understand that it's something that you would rarely (if ever) hear a woman use. What I was wondering is if writers use "zo" to help characterize someone. What I mean is if you hear a character use "zo" does that tell you something about the character? Like he's a little rough around the edges or young? Kind of like when you hear a female character use the particle "wa" at the end of the sentence, you know that's a way to characterize her as gentle and feminine. As always, thank you!

So,
I finally got my long time wished for hair (yay)
I'm showering 2, 3 times every day! (yayyay)
I'm on the way of another metamorphasis.
But honestly speaking...
I should have a slogan like "I'll grow my hair till it's a good length without extentions"
But that always shifts to "I'll cut my hair when it's a good length without extensions"
I'll go bald!
So I've been taking lots of supliments.
I'll post pictures to My space.

And I mentioned this before,
the reason I took out my piercings...
On my 20th birthday (informal visual years) I was thinking about various things.
The meaning behind having my piercings.
I had my facial piercings before I debuted solo, before my band was dissolved, right.
I felt I needed to be burdened with the reasons for the bands break up.
I carried that weight on my shoulders.
I should have understood the reasons for the break up, but somewhere in my heart was hesitation.
Of course I was worried and conflicted as well.
Because I had never sung on stage before.
in order to keep myself smiling, I wanted "something to see".
So I got tattoos and piercings.
But I went on a course completely different from my life plans.
This is totally late but I've been feeling "I should live more seriously".
Well, timing wise this came on my birthday after the world tour had finished.
So the image that has come from world is completely different, and while I've beening going around the world I've gotten various self confidences.
So the things I've carried from Due'l (the bands name) have lightened in a good way, so on stage I can sing honestly, I've changed my way of capturing some kind of pureness. This feeling has floated atop.
I can think like, my piercings are needless.
So, Today, at 4:22 AM, I took out my lip piercing.
It was a kinda weird feeling.
Smiling I felt very refreshed.
A sense of, I want to show the sun.
A sense of, wanting to wrap myself in it's radience.
Well,
Did you say I'm determined?
Did you say I'm climbing the stairs of adulthood?
I'm also all-you-can-wash-your face (yayyay, scrubscrub)
That kind of feeling.

When I was young, I would take a roll of smarties and make the pieces into "sandwiches," by stacking one of one colour between two of another colour. Then I would lay on the couch and pretend I was sick, and eat the smarties, one sandwich at a time, as my pills.
I just thought of that again while eating smarties from the Wyoming Park HS homecoming parade I went to yesterday (my brother was in it passing out coffee coupons! Hooray!!) and thought I'd share it with you all. Now you know a little bit more about the young Alyssa (I wasn't Lys until 9th grade)!

New Shows (no cuts, no spoilers):
Eleventh Hour - The main character looks really familiar. I think he was in that movie Dark City with Keifer Sutherland. I don't really like the chick on the show. It's like she's trying too hard. It seems like it's similar to Fringe. I'll watch it a few more episodes, but at this point, I'm more interested in the Brittish version with Patrick Stewart!
Life On Mars - I really liked this show until he went to the 70s. Then I lost interst. I might give it a few more tries, because I'm into a cop show mode, but eh. The 70s don't do much for me.
Kath & Kim - I actually thought this show was funny. Molly Shannon is great, I love the male lead (don't know his name, but he was Wayne Jarvis on Arrested Development - "I shall duck behind this trash can.") The girl has funny facial expressions, but she is so spoiled and I don't like her character, but I think she's funny. I'm hoping the show will get better in the next couple of episodes, because it has a lot of potential.
Still on my DVR: Code Geass, Moribito, 2 episodes of Terminator, 3 episodes of the Cleaner.

As he wrote on O-re-sa-ma.com, he cut his hair and, at 4.22 AM, he took off his lip piercing too. He explained also why he took off his piercings: after Due' le Quartz disbanded, he needed something "visible" to persuade himself to go on alone. But now he doesn't need the piercings anymore, since during the last world tour he gained confidence and now he's able to think about his band without struggling.
I've translated this blog entry in Italian, but since I'm not so fluent in English and there are already so many skillful Japanese-English translators, I'm not translating it in English.
But I wanted to share the news ^^"
EDIT: I have to learn how to comment on news, I'm always adding news or translations (in the Italian communities) without commenting on them...
So, I agree with ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) sawaranaide and vulgar_prince, Miyavi is always changing, but it's not his looks that writes his music. And if he decided to remove his piercings because he's more confident, it's only a good news.
But he'd been wearing them for so long that they was almost a part of his "natural" look. Also, he was always saying that they have a special meaning for him.
So I think it's quite a news and I'm sad I can't give it completely with a full translation. I wanted to hear other people's reactions. As for me, I'm not going to cry or write a mail to Miyavi asking to put again the piercing, but I really don't want to tell anyone how he should behave or feel.
I only want to see a picture soon ;)
