What's up with a messed up mind? [

MInd is pretty messed up these days. Can't think straight. What's up man? Seems like the brain (logic) and the mind (other than logic) can't coordinate together properly.

What can I do about this? I needa to think a little more.

Was really pleasantly surprised to see howie in class for bahasa Indonesia...:) Yea, we're tut mates again!! Super cool, we didn't even know we're both gonna take this module. Seriously, the chances of getting into the same tut class was really quite slim considering how many tut groups we can choose from. Bak Therese!!

ha, anyway, happen to see this super rock star performance using Angklung. Think I posted smth abt Aungklug last year... loved the sounds of it I guess...

Back with 4 holes and a swollen face [
Posted on August 22, 2008 @ 2:15 am
]

Yup, back to boon lay after a little surgery on the removal of my wisdoom teeth. Yup teeth, coz I removed 4 of them at one go. Sounds bad, but it's actually not so messy.

Realised, I couldn't really see the holes in my mouth, the wounds are pretty neat with all the stiching. The pain was crazy on the first day, but much much better now. Still having a swollen face though. So I must say the service at Alexander Hospital is really first rated! If you have and dental issues, I strongly recommend Alexander. The whole experience of pre to post surgery has been so thoughful and comfortable.

Reported on Tues to the hospital, they provided me with a single room, air-con (day surgery ward) with TV... awesome!. Changed to the gown, the nurses briefed me on what to expect, then proceeded to the surgical ward. Once in the surgical ward, I was alone there, but could entertain myself with reading newspapers, and watching the olympics on TV. Then a nurse, the anesthetist, and the surgeon came to ask some standard questions. Anesthetist then inserted the plug on my left arm. All these done in the lounge outside the surgery room.. with the TV...thought that was pretty cool. Feels comfortable.

Ok, once everything done, went into the surgery room. Laid myself on the bed, that's when a nurse came to check one last time of all the standard questions. BY that time, was getting pretty nervous, slightly dizzy. When I laid down, felt that a lot of ppl were around me, they strap my legs too. Then stuck equipment stuff to my body, the anesthetist then asked me if I was feeling nervous, coz he said that my blood pressure was a little higher. Ha, hell yes.First op mah. Gave me one shot, then breath oxygen, then second shot, then I slept. Felt like 5 mins later, all was over. Nurses waking me up, telling me the op was over. First thing I felt when I woke up, my first wave of pain! Requested for painkillers and was given.

Was pleasantly surprised to find kev sitting outside the surgical ward waiting for me while they wheeled me back to my resting ward. He laughed at my swollen face, accompained me at the ward, while he watched the olympics. I think shortly after, I fell asleep again. He left for sch. Checked out a couple of hours later, after he bleeding stopped. Went home, slept like a baby, but constantly in pain even from drinking water. Sucks. Only drank milk for the whole day.

Day 2, felt much better, was able to eat some bee hoon soup alre.
Day 3, pretty much the same as day 2. (somemore felt more pain today).

Anyway, need to work on my assigment now, no more resting, lots of catching up to do for school work before tut starts next week. Painful painful week, but real glad I got all the wisdom tooth settled, and won;t have to worry abt that anymore. Meanwhile, the healing process has been fast and good. Verdict, Alexander Hospital rocks! They even called the on day 2 to check if everything was ok. what I wanna eat as soon as I can gobble solid food? Pizza! MUUhaaa.

The Perfect Date [
Posted on August 09, 2008 @ 1:12 am
]
Was a really great date today. First went to East Coast Park, spent the whole evening there. What was really was that we both didn't knew which bus to get to get there, even when we got on a bus, we're not sure where to get off. We probably didn't get off the nearest to Macdonald's, but managed to get close to it. So that was great!

Whether was SO Good..very breezy, yet not raining. Was great to cycle in the evening sun, plus the rentals are cheap. $6 for one bike, 2 hours. Pretty cool deal I though, den again, not sure if that's gonna be the same rate for weekends, as in sats and suns.

Cycled for 2 hours: sight seeing, enjoy the breeze, the beach, watching students having camps there, watching army guys running (somehow there was an Army event there), taking videos of Kev...... great!

Cycled for abt 2 hours till my butt ache, time for dinner. Headed to hunt for good and cheap food. Came across a hong kong cafe, food there are good and affordable. Watch some parts of the PM's NDP speech, and some parts of the Beijing Olympics Opening ceremony on the LCD TV at the cafe. Feels almost at home. :)

Proceeded to find a nice spot for a drink. Stayed there for a while, the deejay was great with all the 'feel-happy' songs. Was really windy, almost like a storm was arriving, but it never came. Got a little cold, but the drinks did warm us up. Wonderful place, it's called Cabana Cafe. Check them out more here; http://sg.88db.com/sg/Services/Post_Detail.page/food_entertainment/restaurant_caf%C3%A9/?PostID=118313

Night ended well as we travelled back to the other end of the country. Had a shower, and is real to sleep now. Wow, it's been such a great date, perfect just before the school starts when we're get so busy again. Meanwhile, looking forward to our next date - Bowliing, hope he still remmebers what he said. :)

Love Ya Dear.

Getting wiser. [

Hi all, I suppose I might start to get wiser. Having wisdom tooth trouble now, just went to the dentist. Not one, but all 4 might need to be removed. So now awaiting further consultation from the surgeon at Alexander Hospital.

Hmm...honestly, looking at the x-ray film, I'f rather they extract all at once and under GA if possible man rather one by one on 4 seperate sittings and only local anesthesia.

Let's see how it goes, meanwhile, the tooth is causing my much pain. Headache too.

Toothache [

Hate it when the mouth starts hurting coz of wisdom tooth, not one side, but 3. Trying to get to see a dentist tmrw, hopefully I can get an appt. Would even gladly travel to bedok just to get it checked. It's crazy, puts me in a really foul mood.

C/N/M camp was fabulous. Way beyond expectation. Chalet at chevrons was the best! With great company, great OG and organisers. Well done peeps. Was great working with some councilors on the camp. I helped organised an activity which requires OGs to travel around for a food hunt. Glad it went well, not perfectly as planned, but the OGs did enjoy themselves. Went  blog surfing and glad to know that some freshies had enjoyed themselves trememdously. Only wished the camp had been longer, but it'll probably cost more.

Overall, camp rating: 5/5. Recommended camp for all keen to major in CNM, or just anyone who is in FASS.

Back to my hurting mouth now, it sux big time. Going to slp, preparing for work tmrw. *yawnz

This is one of those days where I contantly feel irritated by the wheather! It's crazily humid here, looks like it's about to rain, but it doesn't! It's drivind me nuts! The heat, and humidity!!!!!!!

Try to play some songs to make me feel less irritable, no use. Arg. Just pure bad lousy mood. Pissed with my com for being slow at reacting...blah blah blah.

At times like this, better to keep to myelf than to affect any one else...

Feel so uncomfortable, arg! So warm and humid!!!!!!

Keep track of your cycles. [

WARNING: The following entry may contain contents that the male species might find difficulty comprehending. Read at own risk!

For the girlies out there, do keep track of your cycles. Coz since my last episode of a diangosis by a doc that I had my appendix inflammed, to "Sorry, we made a mistake, you do not need surgery anymore. It's a folllicle that ruptured" (in simple words, an ovule had ruptured at a worng place that caused the pain on my right lower abdomen. But still it wasn't the best experience to by warded to check what's wrong with my tummy. Best part, doc said that "we made a mistake" thingy right after giving me a super killer painkiller.

So since then, I visited a gynae once, she said I'm just the sway type of girl where I can feel pain when the ovule or egg ruptures. Btw, it is natural for it rupture or smth since it was not fertalised and stuff. Somehow the egg has decided to fall into the wrong part of the tummy and ruptures. Ha, anyway, it made me started a habit of tracking my cycles.

I started by using a small handout from SGH. Faithfully notedown the pain I get and bleeding for months. Now, I've converted that to an excel spreadsheet, and would love to share with u all.  Copy this to your excel and start noting away! Feel free to make adjustments, you can even add rows to track PMS, so you could predict your mood swings faily accurately.

Haha, totally in love with the "Alvin & the Chickmunks" movie. It's super fun to watch it with little cousins. Was training at a primary school few days back. Played some songs from the OST of Alvon and the Chickmunks, all the shildren sang all the songs like it's a the national anthem. No kidding, the look on their faces, priceless. Haha...

My cousin love this show as well, he knows all the songs by heart too, wonder how he learnt it? He probably watched the DVD like more than 20 times.

ok, it's sunday, haven't done much, typing reports away, watching ideos online and preparing to go for dinner soon. :)

Happy Sunday everyone!

I'm still shock... don't know what to say, or what to do to make you feel any better, probably there isn't anything I can do to lessen your pain. Just want to let you know that I feel your pain and I'll always be here for you.

You've done very well since it rolled out, I'll walk through this journey with you, just hold my hand.

I'll pray to god every single day to give you strength.

Kev's dad has been hospitalised at NUH due to a smth witth the liver, but the cause is not known yet until he goes for the CT scan on monday. So been visiting him at the hospital, he is ok, not in any discomfort, just bored.

Well, looking forward for a great great sunday!.
