My first post (whee.)
OK, today was deserving of one of these little journal things. Here's an account of what happened on what was possibly one of the most interesting days of my life. I'll try to only mention the things that you (the reader) might actually like to hear. I plan for this journal thing just to be a way for me to share my experiences, not babble on about stuff people don't care about.
First things first, I woke up... not much to be said. Math class was pretty decent, nothing spectacular. English class was good, watching McKenzie act out a character that she is almost exactly like amused us all.
Break is where it started to get interesting. I walked into the hallway to go get a soda and all of a sudden :::WOOSH::: I slipped and fell on my ass. It was straight up like those cartoons where people slip and fall on banana peels. Everyone in the hall laughed their asses off, including me :)
Next came history, it was a hella fun class, except for the fact that I walked in and found out that that oral defense thing was TODAY for me. I thought I was going like the following week, but now, ACK! The class was good, as we had a sub and Mr. Liehr was out doing oral denfeses with the other people, so we just sat and talked all period. Watching Yasmine's face after she made quite a loud comment about Chris and McKenzie having sex in the parking lot was hilarious
Chemistry was a good class, we just sat and worked on stuff, nothing big, same thing with lunch.
During 5th I told my teacher that I had to leave for my oral defense (which was actually an hour later, I just made a slight detour =) ). I rushed home and printed out my history paper that I didn't know I would need until today.
I came back just in time to see Tsafos go do his oral. He came out looking like he did pretty well. I went in and felt more and more nervous as I read my introduction. Some of the questions my teacher asked were kinda hard, but I felt like I did OK.
After that was tennis. We went in the locker room to change and I saw the other teacher who was at my oral defense, Mr. Marshall, he's like "great job on your defense, you got a really good grade". This was pretty reassuring.
We had a preseason match against Andrew Hill and Karl and I whooped their asses, 6-1, 6-1, we were the first off the court and it felt hella good. We went and changed back into regular clothes, then went to Little Cesar's and got breadsticks, and then went to bonfare and got sodas. We came back and most everyone was finishing up. Suddenly Dee calls me and asks me about March Madness. Doh! I forgot! Fortunately Ryan had his car, so they both went home with him.
March Madness practice was pretty fun. There were only a few of us practicing for a Simpsons act. We more or less figured things out, and it was good and stuff.
Then I got home and talked to Karl. He wanted to go visit Justin at his new job, starbucks. I ate some quick dinner and we left. On our way, we stopped and said hi to Karl's grandma and dropped off some milk and an onion, she had been in the hospital recently and she said she was feeling much better. She said she felt like dancing, and as we left I was telling karl we should get her a tap dancing video. =)
Then we went to starbucks, Justin was filling out a workbook thing that he has to do before he can work behind the counter. They let him take our orders though, and he made them hella slowly and almost made mine with water instead of coffee, EEK! We got them and they were decent, then we hung out harassing him until like 9:30 and then we came home.
I realized I had to do a history assignment, and the damn thing took forever. Nevermind that I was talking to people online and watching the Grammy's (which sucked) at the same time. It was like 11:30 when I went to bed, but it was ok.
Thus ended the possibly most interesting day I've had thus far. It could have been really bad, but everything seemed to go my way. yay!
