I have a new shiny DSLR baby :333 !! It's so liiiight.. and so prettyyy.. and it's currently charging. lol.

Though typically, yesterday, the day before I cave in and buy it for Uni (and for shinier photos), my beloved Olympus Mju 700 dies on me!! ;___; it whirrs and clicks and the lens sorta spazzes and then it gives me an angry error message.
I took it to the shop I got my D60 from today and asked about repairs, but it'd cost over £100 to fix it and lets be honest, cameras nowadays, you can get a decent one that's even higher spec and quality than the my old Olympus for that. I well.. just can't afford to buy a new one or to repair it atm after buying the D60.

It wasn't the best little camera.. but I will miss it so!!

Finished my first week back at uni.. woo! Now the weekend is mine :D

- Mondays are epic, completely free all day!
- Tuesdays are alright, animation all morning and then a documentary screening in the afternoon. There are only 8 people in my animation class and they're all nice, I've spoke to a lot of them before and they're all real friendly so that's good.. and less people = more time on rostrums to work!
- Wednesdays are pretty empty, research and development in the afternoon and that's it. And even then it's mainly a personal project (to produce a portfolio of personal works for use in the third year), so I can just take my time with it.
- Thursdays are alright, Tutorial in the morning (which was.. cancelled? iunno), documentary studies in the afternoon and then a documentary studies seminar. All pretty easy
- Friday (today~!) is just screenwriting/screenplay at 12ish and that's it. This is probably the most interesting bit so far lol. The rest is all good but the guy who teaches us for screenwriting is just so stoik but eccentric at the same time, it's odd.

First week down and a-ok, gogo this year! Should be fun if nothing else hehe :3 plus I got my Uni loan through!! I'm not in the red anymore lol. I can afford things again!! DSLR soon soon soon :D gonna wait for the price to drop a little (D90 has just been released) and then it'll be miiiiiine!

Though that reminds me, there was an amazing rainbow yesterday - it was one next to another and the second one was real bright. By the time I took this photo the first had faded and cause my current camera isn't bad with clouds or drab-looking estates I didn't get a great photo, but it was pretty!



I've been doing a load of drawing lately. It's all on my DA account. I think I'm getting a little better at some things, and markers are sooo fun to use :3 eee!

Also, I've hunted all night on eBay for a NICE 2009 journal/datebook/schedule. I've found a couple of nice little twin star ones but they all look so.. camp? Blagh. The search continues >_>

In other news, finally back at Uni! First real day back was today, and it was pretty alright aside from a really BORING documentary film we had to endure. All good though I suppose.

And I'm finally re-inspired to do stuff! Huzzay. Thank God for Uni coming back!

Soooo.. after beating Gurumin and hunting for a site with a pick of information about the game, I've decided I'm working on an actual fansite for it.. =___=;;;;

Not that I'm not happy to, but typically it happens the week I go BACK to University, lol. I start later this week I think. The site's turning out well though. Maybe I'll have it up and sorted in the next month or so? I doubt that though, seeing as I have at least 3 walkthroughs to write for it before it goes up. Or something like that anyway. Lol.

Blagh. Lol. I make so much work for myself.

I beat Gurumin today. :( It's a cute little psp game I picked up for £10 a few weeks back that nobody seems to know about and is really hard to find over here. I liked the ending but it always makes me sad when once you've beaten a game, you can't replay anything without restarting completely apart from a couple of bonuses. Blehhhh. Still gonna replay it though no doubt, very pick-up-and-playish.

Otherwise.. I'm so sick of summer holidays, I wish I was back at Uni already!! Ughhh. I've been off for nearly 4 months and I'm running out of stuff to do that's interesting.

Okay, so nearing the end of my summer holidays (4 months off.. next year I have to find something interesting to occupy me all this time, srsly), my bank account is at.. £0. Good or bad?

Well, both, seeing as summer was so uneventful and regardless of trying hard to find a job somewhere, I'm still unemployed and have no source of income. So that £0 stands for all that I am useless and unemployed. So bad. But at the same time, it's a good thing. About 2 weeks ago I was in the red by about £60ish after buying my new bag and having to, y'know, survive a little, as in eat, travel, etc. Now it's back up to £0 even after taking spits and spurts of money out of it to survive on, after starting the summer with about £300 left in the account. £300 over 4 months to cover a) living b) convention travel, supplies, etc and c) spending is really not a lot. All I can say is that if I didn't have a student overdraft, I'd be screwed, lol. But even then I've not used it -that- often.

I think I've done pretty well.. even if I failed at getting a job. But I'm still trying! And looking on the bright side, getting one as I go back to uni - more vacancies, flexible times, more organisation.. it'll be a lot more beneficial for me to work during term time rather than worry about not working all summer.

Thoughhhh.. just before I go back to Uni, I've JUST bought another Tokidoki bag this morning, lol >_> so technically my account is around £100 overdrawn at the moment and I'm back in the red, but.. you get what I mean about the last bit, this is a luxury item not living expenses lol.

But anyway - I have £40 towards it already that was in my money box and I'm gonna sell a load of junk to fund it. It's a Foresta Bambinone, and considering I've wanted a Bambinone since I first discovered Tokidoki bags, I'm REALLY happy! It was on Yahoo! Japan and it's sooo cute!! <3 The back side has the two Sasquatches beneath the zipper and the front has Sandy on her swing and should have the little girl Sasquatch on it too~ which are literally the ONLY parts of Foresta I actually like. And even though I had to pay commission charges and extra shipping charges and stuff for Rinkya, it's still cheaper than buying any Foresta bag from eBay that isn't a Denaro, Caramella or Canguro or a horrible Arancia bag lol.
Plus once it arrives, and I get my swanky new DSLR from my Uni loan, it's being my official DSLR bag :D !! One side for the camera to be stored in, and the other for lenses and memory cards n' stuff I might need. Cute AND handy <3 it should fit perfectly. But of course I will use it for other stuff too!

Yeah.. erm.. in short, somehow I'm surviving summer it seems? Hopefully this next term will bring much goodness and inspiration.

Aaaand.. back to non-hair related stuff. Sorta.
I was sorting through my cosplay.com profile today and geez, I have no good cosplay photos. Even from this year where I tried to get some decentish photos I got nada. I'm starting to think I should designate days and arrange to go places where I can get nice, in-character photos sorted so I can, y'know, put up photos without being embarassed at how bad they are or how bad I look. Not that I look good at all, and I don't photograph well, but it'd be nice to get some better photos eventually. Cause whenever other people are doing shoots I never seem to be invited anymore =_= blagh.
So far I have 2 cosplays decided for Auchi and 3 for Aya.. prepared much? Let's just hope I can get them all done.

Also.. am I the only one not "feeling" Livejournal any more? My posts are so few and far between it's painful o.o; I rarely ever update about my day, or what I'm doing anymore.. somehow it seems so "off topic" even though it's my journal.. am I doing something wrong? o_O

When the next semester starts (which is.. this month.. O_O;..) I think I'll invest in some new web domains for projects. One's decided, the other I need to think about before I do anything. But one thing's for sure.. I will do more stuff this year.. I will!!
