October 7th, 06:19 pm - They said if you don't show up tomorrow don't bother showing up on Monday.
The pursuit of knowledge.

No matter how busy you get, every so often, this planet will remind you how beautiful it is.

I was folding laundry at the time, when my eye caught the molten gold of the sunset.

It was only a for a few minutes, but I felt like I was the only person on earth.
September 15th, 07:14 pm - What's a wedding? Webster's dictionary describes it as the act of removing weeds from one's garden.
Hooray for everything!
Scene: Dean and Rose are in the car. They pass by a small strip mall, where a Subway restaurant and an adult video/toy store are side by side.

Rose: Wow, a Subway next to a porn store.
Rose: So... I guess you could buy a foot long to eat... and then buy a foot long to... eat.
Dean: And then rent a movie with people eating other foot longs.
Rose: Wow.
Dean: Boggles the mind, doesn't it.

And now, the best rainbow, I've ever seen! :)

September 8th, 02:06 am - Yeah, pretty much, except we drove around in a van solving mysteries.
I am the lizard queen!
Since moving into our new apartment, I have been hideously busy with work and life in general. And now that school has started (yes -- I'm back in school), what little spare time I had has completely evaporated.

I would write a proper entry, but I have to go to bed because I need to be up at 7 am. Hoorah!

Instead, here's a picture:

P.S. I TOTALLY FORGOT I PRE-ORDERED SPORE WTF. WHEN AM I GOING TO FIND TIME TO PLAY THAT. D:!!
August 7th, 03:14 pm - Fame was like a drug, but what was even more like a drug were the drugs.
I didn't even give you my coat.
We're mostly moved in now, we're just waiting for the couch tomorrow.

There's a lot of drawbacks being on the 21st floor, but one of the best features is the gorgeous view. Here's some pictures I took:

Edit: I'm too lazy to link them all, so just go look at my Flickr, lulz.

Now to go do some laundry. D:
July 30th, 07:19 pm - Well, it's not quite a mop, not quite a puppet, but man. . .
KEKEKEKEKEK~
Scene: Dean and Rose are leaving the U-Haul Rental Centre, after renting a truck for the big move.

Dean: So anyway, we have to pick up the truck at...

*conversation stops as they pass by a large bin with a sign that reads "FREE BOXES -- TAKE A BOX, LEAVE A BOX"*

Rose: ZOMG FREE BOXES!

*Rose runs over and begins to paw at the boxes, pulling out a few*

Dean: Uhh. I don't think you're supposed to take that many...
Rose: Why the hell not? It says "FREE BOXES"! Music to my ears.
Dean: But we have lots of boxes at home.
Rose: You can never have enough boxes when you move!
Dean: But it says "take a box, leave a box".
Rose: Honey, if I take a box and leave a box, that means I'm not actually taking anything.
Dean: ... No, that's not what I meant. -_-;;
Dean: I mean I think you're only supposed to take a couple, it's like common courtesy.
Rose: I am being courteous. I'm recycling boxes as intended.

*Rose takes all the boxes in the bin, and heads towards the car*

Dean: You know, you actually have to return any unused boxes to fulfill the "take a box, leave a box" policy. Are you actually going to return them?
Rose: Well, of course I am! >:o!
Dean: Are you really? >_>;;
Rose: Well... no. Probably not.
Dean: ... -_-;;;

Two days more till the big move! As expected, I haven't finished packing AT ALL. I fully blame FFIV. Every time I sit down to take a break, I think, oh, I can play a little bit. I can just do a dungeon or something, and then I'll stop and go back to packing. AND THEN I SPEND AN HOUR PAINTING A FACE ON RYDIA'S EIDOLON WTF. =__=;;

Okay, dinner break's over. Time to get back to packing. :o!
July 19th, 04:37 am - Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?
Pleasantly surprised.
Because Song Summoner has clearly taken over my spare time, I decided to document my horrible addiction via Songs Of Salvation, a tiny site I put up over the space of a frenzied hour. I'm about two hours into the game itself, but I've probably spent more than double that creating troops (min-maxing is going to kill me) or leveling up in the Rehearsal Room. It's just like Disgaea Item World Fever all over again. If I stick to it long enough, I think I'll submit the troop list at GameFAQS.

I really hope that Song Summoner inspires more games for the iPod that are more than just Bejeweled or Breakaway clones. But on the other hand, if they made more good games... then I would have to buy them. Hummmm.

I made a bunch of Ebichu icons last night. Which is to say, I screencapped them and then cropped them. And then stared at my screen for an hour because fuck if I know what to do with icons, hahaha. XD
July 18th, 06:58 am - Marge, tell Bart I just want to drink a nice glass of syrup like I do every morning.
I didn't even give you my coat.
SONG SUMMONER IS DESTROYING MY FREE TIME OMG. ;_______;!!!! I'm supposed to be packing! The only reason why I stopped playing was because my iPod ran out of power. ;__; (But I still want to play!)

Random thoughts, ahoy. )

I have a huge craving for pancakes. But we have neither bananas nor chocolate chips. :(
July 14th, 04:58 am - He may be a liar, a pig, an idiot, a communist... but he is not a porn star.
Workaholic!
HAY GUESS WAT GUYZ, I UPDATED MY DOMAIN LULZ!

I'm sort of depressed that I have no links list. Remember back in the day when the same handful of domains were linked on everyone's lists? There was such an abundance of sites that you really did have to hand pick the ones you liked. Do people even make fansites anymore? D:

I think I have an idea I want to follow up on. It's been kicking around in my head for a while, but I think I'm going to really give it a go. In a sort of related matter, I sort of... started working on ShoujoStation. It needs to be reborn!

Also, I found a cat living in our Garden Centre. He looks just like my cat, except not as fat. It's like looking at my cat, in his salad days. I befriended him with a piece of my sandwich, and now he naps under my table while I work. GardenCat (as we have taken to calling him) is the second cat we've found so far, the first cat having been adopted the day we found her. It's like a cat jamboree! Work is so full of win, lately.

Nineteen more days till we move. And you'd better believe I haven't started packing yet.

P.S. Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon is destroying my free time. POPUP CARD DUELS, FUCK YES. Can't. Stop. Dungeon. Crawling. XDDDD!!
July 5th, 03:08 am - Aw, twenty dollars! I wanted a peanut!
Help! She's touching my special area!
I love how easy it is to derail myself when I'm working on something.

The task: making a new layout for EHnet.

What actually happened:

- While working on my contact page, I somehow thought that my journal needed sprucing up. So I spent an hour changing the colour scheme.

- While changing the colours, I realized that my account had expired and most of my icons were locked out. So, I spent the next hour trying to log into Paypal so I could renew my account.

- It took an hour to get into Paypal because I could not for the life of me remember my old account, so I tried to make a new one, but my bank account was tied to the old account, so I had to try to figure out the old account, and then realized that it was on my old domain email, so I couldn't use that to get new information.

- Spent the next thirty minutes going through security to get access to old account.

- Spent fifteen minutes trying to find my checkbook to get bank information.

- Finally had access to Paypal! Did the stuff, waiting for funds transfer. I settled back into working on the layout, but then suddenly wanted to update the User Info page.

- Spent the next 30 minutes making a new User Info page image. Then, the next 30 minutes cleaning out my icons and re-uploading them.

And then episode 3 of Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien ~Next Season~ finished downloading so I had to take a mandatory break. 'Scuse me while I lulz a bit.

Haruka, you make me die a little inside every time I see you. )

I SO WANT TO FINISH MY KIMINOZO SHRINE. But first, I have to get this layout done.
June 26th, 07:11 pm - Well, he's kind of had it in for me ever since I accidentally ran over his dog.
Hooray for everything!
So, I ended up watching Gankutsuou over the last two days and now I wonder why I didn't finish watching it sooner. I'm on this late night anime binge diet now. I rewatched all of Sailormoon, Escaflowne, Gankutsuou, and now I'm watching Seirei no Moribito.

Creepy story of the day:

While I was working out in the garden centre, a man came up to the register to pay for his apple tree seedlings. He explained to me that he was a great lover of animals and his dog died, so he planned to plant an apple tree over his dog's burial spot to honor him. He told us that since his wife died many years ago, he has the habit of taking in strays into his home. My co-worker and I thought this was nice, since we both own pets of our own, so we commented as such.

The man then said, "Well, aren't you girls sweet? If there weren't those cameras up there, I'd smuggle you both into my pocket and take you home." And then when we laughed, he fixed us with this creepy, intense, "Hannibal Lecter" look. This awkward moment was really freaky, but then he suddenly laughed, which confused and horrified us even more.

As soon as the man left, another co-worker came up to us and said with a grin, "He bought three trees. At least you would've had a nice burial." I laughed, but the first co-worker whipped her gardening gloves at him.

I'm going to the salon tomorrow. Do I stay a red-head, go back to black, or try something new?
