I've been home for a few days, but I haven't been motivated to write. I'm still a little emotionally numb from an amazing summer. I made a new lj because I think it's time I started a new chapter in my life in ode to senior year. Guess who got their ears all did?!?! I got my ears pierced! :-D. FINALLY! I had them done when I was little, but they closed up. The earrings aren't that pretty...just really small and gold. But after 8 weeks I can change them. Dude, I've got things through my ears!!! Sweet! :)
I went to Sam Ash to look for some sheet music and I swear to God I met Mrs.Berkowitz's evil twin lol. I went up to her and asked if she had the music for 'My Immortal,' and I must have stumbled because she looked at me funny and said 'I'm not going to bite you.' She was joking, though. And then I was playing 'On My Own' on the keyboard and she started singing along and then she said 'Yeah, I sang that to my boyfriend when we broke up. I was like, 'I don't wanna hear your crap no more!' And then I asked her about the DD song, and she was stapling something to her shirt and I gave her a weird look and she was like 'I'm listening.' And then she said 'Yeah, I don't have the time to iron this damn thing to my shirt, so I staple it.' I was like 'okay.....' She was so awsome though. I heard her talking to some customers about how people figured she was gothic, and would ask her if se worshipped Satan and during the blackout they all came to her house because they figured since she was goth she would have them. I didn't find what I wanted, but I got the piano music for 'White Flag.' Also, I was playing the latin rhythm from 'Shiksa Goddess.' I was able to figure it out in about 5 seconds, which was cool.
Also I thought this was fucking hilarious...I was walking Mivkey, and Karen was walking Buster, and her son Spencer was with her. Buster started humping Mickey and Spencer(who is 4) cried 'PIGGYBACK! PIGGYBACK!' Me and Karen started cracking up. I've gotta wash my hair and eat something because I'm babysitting Spence, Buster, Jack and Hayley tonight. Adios!

Almost forgot! Karakrazykarot, I got your valentine in the mail today. I'm losing my eyesight and couldn't read the name at first, and my mom was like 'Uhhh, there's some weird object in it.' And I was feeling it and I was just like 'Hmmmm.' And my brother was like 'Maybe it's a joint.' Yes, my family is insane. But yeah, I opened it and was all 'WHOOOO POWERPUFF! WHOOOOOO SMARTIES!' They were tres yummy. Thank you! Happy Valentines Day :-D

My dad's online trying to get tickets for me and my mom to see Thouroughly Modern Millie right now. We were first gonna try for Avenue Q, but there weren't any available days. We then debated against Chicago(no), Beauty and the Beast(no), and Mama Mia ("FUCK no!"). But yeah, I think it's gonna be TMM. My mom wants to see 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change' because Sebastian was in it lmao. I also still want to see 'I Am My Own Wife.' My dad also clicked on some random off b-way show and as soon as he saw it was playing the Culture Club he goes 'GOODBYE' and went back. God, he's so obnoxious lol. He's going around the house now screeching 'THOUROUGHLY MODERRRRRRNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!' And I said to him 'Well, how about if I go see Mama Mia and come back screaming Dancing Queen?' And he said 'I would lock you out of the house.' It's weird, I've basically seen everything that I want to see. It's kind of fun debating on what show to see the night before lol. Then I asked my mom about The Blue Man Group and she just gave me a dirty look. *Shrug* Can't get no satisfaction 'round here.
"Let's see the Donkey Club. No, wait-let's see Mama Mia-wait, no-LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS! How about Blue Man group? Abbe, you can dance onstage and get spraypainted."-my dad. He's such a jerk, lol. Gotta give him props, though. Wouldn't be here without him ^_^ |

I just listened to a clip of Yassmin singing 'Without You.' I don't think I've ever heard her singing RENT songs before. Oh my God...so beautiful! I'm all teary now. She and Karmine sound very similar. I might need to get a video with her as Mimi now lol. |

Well. I won't be going to Cheley this summer. I won't be going to Columbia either.
I know that when I got tested it showed that I'm more 'right brain' than 'left brain'...but sometimes I wish it was the other way around. I feel like the only thing academically that I'm good at is writing stories and poems. But obviously that's not what I need to pass and graduate...the tests also show that I SHOULD be one of those straight-A students. I just wish sometimes that I could be one of those people who easily get good grades instead of just being able to write creativley. And the thing that really pisses me off is that I KNOW I'm really not so stupid that I should be failing math...but I am anyway. I was surprisingly calm when my dad told me that I'd have to go to summer school and not be able to go to Colorado. I won't be seeing any of my friends either. I don't think it's really hit me yet. I think that my left brain died with Kim. |

I just watched the old '88 version of 'Into the Woods.' I haven't watched that since at least the 6th or 5th grade...and then I didn't really appriciate it as I do now. I know it's a fairytale...but the message at the end is so beautiful. I was tearing up during 'Children Will Listen' and 'No One is Alone.' Oh my god...so sad. And I actually LOVED Bernadette Peters in it. I hated her in Gypsy...she was just all over the place, and she was slurring and appeared almost drunk, or like she'd been on sedatives. But she was wonderful in this, and she really does have a beautiful voice. And she also looks gorgeous as well. That was taped like almost 15 years ago. Her look and voice have changed since then. But yeah, I loved it.
I still have that nasty feeling in my throat. Why the fuck do I always get sick the day before tests? :(. At least after tomorrow there's a week off. |

What Psych-Ward do you belong to?
I'm sick. I'm getting that gross rising feeling in my throat. I slept until one, and then read some more of 'Desperation,' and then went downstairs to watch 'Full House.' Ms.Wright called my mom while I was sleeping. I have to go to her office tomorrow and sign this thing that says I get extra time on SAT's and Regents. And then my mom started talking about how if I don't pass the Math Regents, I'll have to spend 6 weeks in summer school and all my plan will be ruined. Thanks cheering me up, mom.
And I've officially decided that Mylanta only makes you feel worse. |

I wonder if she redyed her hair lol. Ah, well. 'Between Us' sounds interesting. Reading that put the biggest smile on my face. It's not that I thought she wouldn't be able to find new work...I'm just happy for her.
And I can't believe I am still watching this season of American Idol. But I like that Fantascia chick. And Randy's getting skinnier each time I see him! (He had that bypass surgery). I still think it's cool, though lol.
My dad updated my AIM and it is annoying the shit out of me...whenever someone logs on, part of a song plays for like a second. Imagine like 10 people signing off and on at once, with their things playing all at once. Chelsea's was like spazzing out, and she kept getting on and offline so it kept going 'HEY, CUTIE, HEY CUTIE, HEY CUTIE...' I was going to kill the computer. And these little pop-ups come up telling you when someone signs on like every 5 seconds...
Ahhhhh Dani just got on and logged off and it keeps playing Madonna. *Pulls hair frantically* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
And I'm considering showing the debated poem to Daphne. I need an opinion from someone who I actually consider to be a talented songwriter, and will give me something more than 'I lyked it it wuz gud.'
Now to study for Math and Spanish :). Wish me luck tomorrow! |
