LOOOL anon meme. Since it seems to be going around lately, I suppose I should pay my obligatory two cents' worth here. Seen and heard things about wank, good and bad, seen the flist being upset and such, but
innate,
icarus_suraki are right. Are they really worth that much attention?
First, consider the source. Faceless, unknown people hiding on a screen, banging out words that are simultaneously childish and spiteful. Reliable? Honestly. Second, consider a perspective.
Should I baaaaaw because some faceless, cowardly individual ranted about my internet persona/my - to quote, "pretendy fun time game" character/raise old and dead issues simply because they have more than enough time on their hands to make up for woefully deficient basic courtesies?
Really? Come now.
They may be pounding on your door, and yes, it may be so very hard to ignore; but it's definitely
not impossible.
Even now, I'm regretting what little attention I am paying to such banal trivialities. This event doesn't even make your grade, nor does it allow you advanced standing in life. How disappointing that the word of an anonymous individual would take precedence over more important, fulfilling activities. Aren't we all forgetting the ones important in the first place? The ones who still love us; essentially, they are the only ones who should matter.
You're all better than this, flist. Carry on with your life, and don't look back. Do what pleases you, for pandering to anons are a futile effort. You > anonymous.
Remember this.
In other more important, more relevant news, plenty of good came out of this day. Rekindled a friendship with someone I consider a friend, and had awesome members for groupwork, worked out plots and storylines, and the realization of how much I adore friends. Witnessed how strong some people can be. And for this I am exceedingly grateful.
Be strong, everyone. And most importantly, be well.
Now, if you'll excuse me, there are posts to tag, plots to think of, storylines to come up with, people to love on and care for, and series to catch up on (sup Psych, Boston Legal, Supernatural.)
EDIT: Hamsters are good for the soul.
