grab bag!
Troy said no one was posting so here goes. Work is dead and will likely be pretty dead until January. No one wants to do anything during the holidays and even if stuff is broken, as long as it isn't bad, people just assume wait. So I've been working on perplog2 a bit. Rewatching a lot of the west wing because Leo died the other day. I finished the 1st season from start to finish in like 4 days. Reading some. I fixed a bunch of DNS issues. Anyone know if system-hackers@gnu.org is right or have the address of the latest sysadmin there (I lost track after rao left)? There may be some transfer problems with gnu/fsf zones (we're ns3.gnu.org, hooray). I shaved my head again. I'm going to go get my new drivers license in a little while. I'm heading down to Cincinnati for Christmas tomorrow (or maybe tonight). My parents always have this Christmas Eve party with some friends and this year they are hosting it, which means I'll probably be helping cook stuff or whatever. Most of the people who show up are either my parents age and stuffy Cincinnati Republicans or their kids that are at least 3-4 years younger than me (ie my brothers age). So I kinda end up with no place to call my own and usually disappear somewhere after dinner. I'm thinking about buying a drive and installing Ubuntu on a spare machine I left down there. That should give me something to do and I could use another machine for testing. I wonder how much pain it is to get Ubuntu and Xen playing nice.
I've heard from two of the four people who I made copies of the hip hop cd for. They both liked it a lot. Troy said he was on the fence and then that he liked some stuff, but I haven't heard anything since then. Brett hasn't said anything about it at all.
Brett is supposedly coming to visit for new years, but I don't know the details (other than being in Cincinnati on the 30th).
That's all for now. happy holidays.
