exciting! Ousama no Branch
I'm feeling rather proud of myself. Why? Due to this helpful guide by muchingching, with WMP and Get ASF stream (program) I managed to record most of Ousama no Brunch with the RnK cast today. It would have been easier with VLC player (no need for 'get ASF stream' additional program), but the viewing picture is a tad worse. And I finally got a program to convert ASF to AVI, which is ultra exciting. Sadly, the live streaming recorded quality is low and some parts messed up due to connectivity, so I made a new account on youtube and uploaded it there to share. (I'm sure a better quality version will be available on the clubboxes for download soon). Anyway, Part 1 is just Ryo and Toda Erika, part two has the Nino VTR appearance part 1: http://youtube.com/watch?v=JX0i3l97-o0part 2: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BIP8qrcONI8( 20081011 Ousama no Brunch RnK cast youtube embedded videos )

I lost a story ...
It's the one where JD gets mugged outside the hospital, and then gets an acquired brain injury and has to relearn how to do everything ... I probably sound like a complete idiot, but if someone could help me out, that'd be great. :)

A short notice that could benefit you
It has been brought to my attention that the laws of the universe are such that, if we have an amicable relationship, you may be winning the lottery in due course. Or finding twenty bucks on the street or getting a free box of doughnuts (probably not from the street). Please note that if you win the lottery, I rightfully demand my portion. I understand you may be given this lottery money under conditions such as "You may only buy alcohol with this money" or "If you give this money away, it can only be to Nazis (and the Nazis can't give it to Ingrid, either)", but I'm sure loopholes can be found. I will also accept a share of your doughnuts of karmic balance.

hmmm.
Last week actually went really well in terms of the breakup thing, actually. We'd call each other for a half hour every night and be goofy at each other and nothing really changed aside from the fact that there was always a great big gaping hole where the "I love you" would go at the end of every conversation. This could be because of the inert medication this last week (and I'm starting to think it was, because I'm on the second pill of my new package and I already feel this sort of filmy, muted hysteria settling over me. but more on that later). ( A plot twist from last night. )

unslept and somewhat slightly dazed
http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2008/10/unslept-and-somewhat-slightly-dazed.html posted by Neil
Having a very odd day. In an end-of-tour slightly dazed state, flew to the UK, where I have four days of stuff to do. So far I've done half of my list for Day One -- Saw Holly (oldest daughter) and watched Amanda Palmer perform "I Google You" not on YouTube. In order to do the latter, I found myself agreeing to read the liner notes on the back of Who Killed Amanda Palmer as an on-stage introduction (which was fun), and then being yanked onto a stage to do backing vocals and what-the-fuck-am-I-doing-here-I-think-I'v e-turned-into-Davy-Jones tambourine on "Oasis" (which was... unlikely). Problems with cell phones complicated by a just-received email from my assistant pointing out my phone charger is still at home. Soon I get in car and head into deepest Cornwall for a birthday. Then straight back to London for a day of meetings and interviews. Then I fly home to the US and collapse, completely and utterly.

DEATH
Yesterday Mom and I went to Mountain Shadow Ranch (she wasn't actually open but she was at home and let us come over anyway because she is a nice person) and I got a Mystery Batt to spin on Sunday (since am not taking dog this year, too many other dogs) and some peacock blue merino/tercel roving, some corridale fleece (washed and picked, not processed ... it's stupidly entertaining to pull the locks open, btw, like one of those washcloths with characters on them compressed into plastic wrap you get for kids) and some silk hankies. Mom loeved the shop of course. I am a GOOD DAUGHTER to introduce her to SO MANY AWESOME THINGS :Dv So finally ( made it to the doctor today. ) And then I went and got delicious antibiotics, mailed off the yarn (there's delivery confirmation numbers, I will send you guys them later, but Selah should expect it Monday-ish and Ysabet I'm guessing Tuesday or so) and now I am going to go find the kitten and spend the pitiful remains of my weekend in bed. ☠OCTOBER 12 2008 - Memory Walk $160/$200And if the memory walk site is being a pill about taking your money, you can also paypal me at meg at fenya dawt net or just email me and we can work it out. (wait .... do I count the ten bucks Someone In Kingswood's Son gave me on Wednesday? I was telling him about the fundraising and he gave me it because I said I was at $140. And then I put it under Executive Dir's door. Someone Else in Kingswood's family nobly stumped up $250, so I am sort of in second place for building fundraising but one doesn't mind losing because of that, of course. Well, if I do, I'm at $170. o/)

Oh, self restraint!
So I'm going to rant about dorries again for a little bit. Yes, I'm trying to keep my involvement with the hobby on the less rather than more side, hence why I've sold off a number of them. But as I'm still making a business out of the hobby too, there's only so much distance I can keep. XD
So I do kinda want to buy another doll. The difference here being that rather than buying dolls to suit a character, now I'm just buying ones I like. (Which when I really think about it, could be potentially more dangerous, as there's a LOT of them I do like.) =X I still have a bit of an itch to amass an army of 70cm boys. Must resist this urge, or at least keep it on a very short leash.
But then hell, even while writing this, I'm already thinking "New dollie YAY!" but then also thinking "Argh, but then it'll need a faceup and a wig and eyes and clothes and and and..." which is not a pleasant thought.
Really probably, I just have an urge to spend money on shiny new things and dolls tend to be the most obvious option sometimes. =X And it really doesn't help that my default habit when at the comp goofing off/taking a break is to muck through the doll forums. I seriously need to find an art forum to check obssessively/perhaps even involve myself in so I'll be more inclined to like.. ART.
But in any case, I have my Onyx head now which is in need of a body. Which I might get for her. But before I make any purchases, I want to see what Soom's Libra doll is gonna be. Hardcore. If I'm lucky, I won't want it. >>
Logic says I shouldn't be spending any money at all, even if I do have a decent padding for the first time in god knows how long. I've almost as much of an urge to hoard my monies away almost as much as I want to spend it. And part of me is thinking if I'm going to spend money, why not do it on things for YOU for once? Which will end up being a lot cheaper on me than dolls would.
Man, it's painful trying to have self-restraint. And I'm usually really horrible at that, but I'm trying! XD So instead of sitting here thinking about it, I'm going to go be PRODUCTIVE and MAKE STUFF. 8D;
Also: i still really wish there was a goood art forum that I feel like I could settle in and be at home at. ConcerptArt still scares the bejebus out of me and I feel like I wouldn't fit in there at all, and Penciljack.. I'm just unsure of. I'd just start my own, but I don't have the connections or willpower or whatnot to make it a really awesome place.

No crelo. ♥♥♥
