Here is one interesting news article and experiment whether some of the teenagers are able to live without their phones for a week.Learn more about it here!
For an interesting note,I will start to have a full-time temporary job from 22 Sep - 21 Dec 2008.At least,I won't feel that bored,but the downside is that I have lesser free-time for recreation and studies =|

For those japanese pop music lovers,in case if you are wondering if you have seen a typography error here,yes,the Japanese R&B queen did came to Singapore yesterday for a 2 hours plus performance at Singapore Expo Hall 1 starting at 8pm.

Information Poster found outside the Singapore Expo Hall 1
Some thoughts on her performance:
Start of the concert -->
-As the title implies,it is the "Discotheque Asia",MISIA starts off the concert with 3 "dance" songs (I may have to find out the titles =X) and get the crowd going.When I hear her sing,I finally get to appreciate what the press media has been raving about her five-octave pitch.Indeed,seeing (maybe add "hearing" as well =D) is believing!!
-Somehow,when she starts to sing one of my favourite songs of hers (眠れぬ夜は君のせい ~ nemurenu yoru wa kimi no sei),I know she will be going for her strength of delivering ballad songs ^_^ Of course,since many fans of MISIA knows her "Everything",she sang it after 眠れぬ夜は君のせい.Next,she proceeded to sing Yes,Forever,another known love ballads of her.Naturally,the crowd was spellbound by her singing prowess and live performance skills.When MISIA proceeded to change to her second costume,a drummer performed in front of us (I assume the drums are of Taiko nature) whose superb drumming skills left us speechless and impressed!!Even I personally think my secondary school day drummers can have an early retirement =X
A rather poor handphone photoshot of the live performance situation:

In the middle row J7 and trying my utmost best to snap something =X
Middle of the concert -->
-Out of nowhere,we start to see mega big plastic balls being released from the stage area and they were being thrown towards the audience.Of course,being gamely enough,we brought up the atmosphere by being active and responding to MISIA's dance cues and claps haha XD Extremely fun and active atmosphere created and apparently,the crowd was enjoying every second of the performance ^_~
-The only suspense part is when MISIA took a bit too long to change to her 3rd costume (which was a white deva set,happened to be her best costume for this concert IMO),some of the crowd at the back seats left the place o_O With some patience,MISIA came out and continued with her performance which is still as good,or even better than CD quality *thumbs up* In between the concert,she had to speak in both English and Nihongo to the crowd (remember,there are non-Japanese fans watching,that is why.Although a good portion is Japanese fans who had flown here to watch her performance).I must admit,she had pretty good stamina to carry on with the concert,although one can hear a bit of (not that obvious) panting by MISIA.
Towards the end of concert -->
-With her encore song of 太陽のマライカ (taiyo no mairika - translated as The miracle of the sun,found in MISIA's EIGHTH WORLD album).As attentive audience,we were silent and of course immersed ourselves with her superb singing skills.An interesting aspect to note was that MISIA thanked the audience many many times.I can still remember her walking to the left side,centre and the right side of the stage giving her thanks in both English and Nihongo (I think maybe about 6-8 times?).Nevertheless,I was extremely pleased to have this rare opportunity to listen to MISIA's live performance.After all,if Singapore has a next well-known jpop singer coming to open a concert here,I think we can prepare ourselves to purchase lottery tickets =P
Overall Grade of THE TOUR OF MISIA DISCOTHEQUE ASIA: A++ (minus the fact that the first two costumes didn't really suit her,her perfomance is close to perfection ^^)
"Ewypes" for Stickkey: Free souvenirs for tickets purchased above S$128.

Surfing through the LifeHacker website for some IT related stuff and found out an interesting web article relating to how much money we waste.
My two cents of thought here (pun intended :D): You atttempt a total of 42 questions relating to the different areas of expenditure such as transportation,insurance,cash,personal etc... Once you are done with the quiz,you can get a customised result of either how much you waste daily,weekly,monthly,yearly,decade or even a lifetime (O_O)
My Results (T_T Looks like I still have a long way to go for financial literacy improvement.I can't believe i wasted most of my money on food =P)

Hmm,the feeling is not too bad,considering that I did the whole of 21km under 2 hours which I am quite satisfied overall ^_^
The only annoyance which I have is the lack of running etiquette by some of the runners.More details will come when I return back from camp this weekend.I can look forward to 2 more weeks and my 2 years of National service liability is over!! :D

This IS definitely news as I was watching the live telecast of the 110m hurdles broadcast and saw how Liu Xiang pulled out from the heats.The moment I watched on TV Liu Xiang taking out his tag number,I had a strange feeling about the event twist,and true enough,he was out of the qualifying rounds.
Interestingly to note,since most of the Chinese fans are rooting for him,when they see him out of the heats,they left the stadium immediately. (as seen in the Olympics broadcast).Now we have one less anticipated event to watch now =|

In a few more hours time,I am heading for class,but this time,i am a second year student instead as I am taking an accelerated route.Nevertheless,the 4 modules which I have registered are as follow:
- Human Resource Management (HRM)
- Information Systems & Organisations (ISO)
- Auditing
- Principles of Banking & Finance
My new schedule is now an alternating week of HRM & ISO for monday & wednesday and another monday & friday for auditing and banking finance module.Not exactly a nice combination but it shall do for now =X
All right,I have to go off soon for my night class soon.For your information,I will still be available till this wednesday when my leave application is over ^^
