beat
like poetry
but not yet quite
too messy to be in verse
i try to create lines
and something like this
surfaces
organized chaos
it always comes back to haunt me
planning nothing
taking life as it is
and living it
but then i doubt
and people abandon me
but i get over it
give me a year
and i'm over it
never thought she would
but she did
and there i was
stranded, dying
but i'm over it
for the most part
resentful, unforgetting
here i am
learning once again
to live and breathe like before
but sometimes i'll remember
incidents
vividly, like yesterday
and feel that mark she left
but i'm over it
and my life plays out
according to plan
