 Some 10-20 minute sketch.
The only reason I go see the Narnia series is for this kid above, for Skandar Keynes. Haha. Yes, I have a kid crush, oh my Lord. He was such incredibly adorable little boy in the first movie. I just wanted to pinch his cheeks. He had / has amazing bone structure and it was very inspirational to draw from :P. Of course, he had to grow up but -.- but hey, Ben Barnes wasn't bad either, and I, for one, actually did enjoy Caspian's clothing even if it was a bit girly haha. Plus he had the English accent, and that really forgives everything.
Truthfully, I was never interested in the Narnia books. I think I was more of a Roald Dahl reader when I was younger. I loved "The Witches", I must've read it over and over again. And of course, I had my tome of fairy tales.

I work in a digital design firm where my art directors are afraid of their clients.

Back from my Athens/Crete/Rome/Venice 12 days of Europe vacation before Grad school hits :P I am in love with Venice. I will be in love with Venice until I go back again hahah, which then may result in probably more love. The city was just so charming, and baroque-classical? That's me. I've uploaded trip pictures to flickr. :)

I'm sure most of you have had this experience some time in your working experiences. How do I calm myself when I just want kick the person into submission? He has the most horrible professional attitude I've ever witness and up to this point, I've had incredible relationships with almost everyone I've worked with.
I'm trying to separate the personality vs. the professional but when I try to analyze, every thought just leaves me fuming. Should I start kick boxing? Yoga is way too passive. -.- A duck doesn't get wet for a reason. Anyone with suggestions of good techniques of ignoring or self-hypnotism?

I haven't been up to much. Work has been horrendously busy, but I've been trying to find ways of not working late and / or too hard. :P No new artwork by yours truly in the last 2 months...which sucks. Most of the time, I've been practicing; drawing with actual pencils and charcoal (I'm so very poor at charcoal). I realized that drawing on a medium that has no "ctrl-z" is so incredibly helpful to sharpening my eyes. I have to put a lot of thought into each stroke because a stroke has more consequence; there is no easy way out if I mess up. Just a couple of weeks ago I came back to digital drawing, and I find myself completing pieces with more accuracy.
But I said I haven't done anything new digitally, actually...I've been mimicking. :) My idol, the one person whose skills I desperately seek to acquire, is Mr. Craig Mullins (if you visit his website now, be aware that his site has recently been hacked and he only has a few of his once hundreds of art on there). His control of light, colors, composition is so so superb that I can stare at his artwork night and day and be continuously amazed. I discovered his site so many years ago and to this day, I still can't make heads or tails of how he manipulates so many colors. Anyways, enough of my fangirling...
When I have a more solid number of pieces, I'll put them up for amusement :D

I was sent a link to Speakerdogs Paper Toys, and I haven't stopped folding since Thursday (even during work and at the wrath of my project manager lol).
Now my hands are clumsy, no matter the fact that I draw with a tablet. And I've always been a bit impatient when it comes to handcrafting anything of detail, but I was hooked on this paper folding because the stuff out there are just so cute! I think I'm almost through with draining it out of my system though, which will be a relief to my boss. :P

Love the new campaign for Beijing 2008 titled "Together". This one is done by Psyop + Stink + Adidas, and the 1st of four:
Sporting product companies have some of the best slogans and campaigns. Nike's "Just Do It" is legendary, now there's Adidas's current "Impossible is Nothing", and Reebok's "I am what I am".
