in other news....i'm offering art commissions over at my DA gallery. if you want art, i have five slots open right now.....


prices are negotiable and vary according to what i'm working on. i DO still make designs for like websites, lj icons/mood sets, and other random graphics.


reason for doing commissions? i desperately need the money right now for bills. parents are in the red, bro and i don't get paid til the end of this week, gods only know when i get my loan check--which i'm sure i don't get to keep most of so we have utilities still on here....but i'll be DAMNED if i'm stucking paying the whole phone/internet/cell/sattelite bill!


but yeah.....i need money and with my current class schedule, i have no time for a second job...or even an new job.


also, i'm going to be getting a website this month....scary i know, but i need one. it's gonna be divided into two parts: graphic/web design portfolio and animation portfolio. don't even KNOW what to put in the animation one yet.....might fiddle with some character concepts and backgrounds.....meh....


so that's it! classes start and i need money!

feeling much better. yeah, the lotion really iritated my eyes. fortunately they didn't bother me at all today at work and i just looked like i had too much to drink the night before XD

spent a whole 2.5 hours doing nothing at work but dabbing at my eyes.


made the mistake earlier to snagging a kleenex with lotion in it so my eyes look even redder than they did this morning.....dad swears i have pink eye....

I BETTER FUCKING NOT! I CAN'T AFFORD THE MEDCHECK VISIT AND I DEFINATELY CAN'T AFFORD MEDICATION!

sure, i could write a check to medcheck, but not for cvs or walgreens or any other pharmacies....and i would still have to work this weekend before even thinking of visiting the doctor.....



i swear, if i have pink eye.....sigh......was not happy with being sick to begin with....if this eye problem doesn't clear up this weekend, i'm boned. i have classes starting tuesday night.



please Kamisama, let this just be cold in the eyes and nothing serious.....you know i'm broke until friday and i don't have insurance......

even though i took some niquil last night, i ended up waking up every few hours...to having to rub my eyes just to open them...

eyes are puffy and red and if i keep them closed for a period of time, they get crusty. had to use a wet wash cloth most of the night to break it apart....not so bad except it likes to stick to your eyelashes v.v

coughing alot, nose is still stopped up. almost had a nose bleed last night. should've closed my window last night but i was so damn hot! seriously. if i closed the window i would've overheated and started coughing even more.

i have to be at work at 5:30......doubt i'll go if my eyes are still red and puffy.....

just realized something....out of all of the final fantasy opening sequences--i.e. the fmvs--final fantasy 8 has the best one.

seriously. while i love ffiv, the fmv they created for the ds version was very nice. hell it was pure awesome, but still....

and my happy game ffvi, while the artwork for the fmvs was AMAZING, it was still "meh"

ffvii, meh. it was ok

ffix, ok

ffx, i still stand by the fact that ffx is the best movie produced by square-enix PRE advent children

ffxii, too westernized (seirously, i've seen ALOT of fantasy novels that start out like that...not to mention all the star wars-like hints in that game!)


ffviii, FMVs--especially the opening one--are amazing!

now, this is just my opinions on the opening sequences for the aforementioned games. i'm not gonna talk about which game has the best cut scenes, story, character development, playability, etc. because i'll be here ALL DAMN NIGHT talking about them.

this is about the opening sequences. seriously. ffviii has the best. the music, the drama, the "omgwtf is going on?! man i really need to play now to see wtf all this means" vibes you get from the moment you see/hear the waves and hear "fithos lusec" start in the background.....yep....pure awesomeness.

when i first saw this opening, i thought "DAMN! i wanna do that shit!" and look, 10 years later, i'm working towards learning how to make shit like that! ^__^

good news: finally stopped being lazy and put Maleficent back in my icons list.

second note: cold's clearing up i think. voice either doesn't work beyond a whisper or squeeks something fierce. throat's still sore though.

meds are working, especially since i started taking the mucinex yesterday. how i'm randomly hacking up this dark yellowish snot from my sinuses....which is a good thing! now i just wish it didn't hurt my throat when i sneeze v.v

head's killing me too. spent most of the afternoon resting in my bed. now i'm not so woozy now....hopefully i can function tomorrow when i have to work....



have i told ya'll i'm glad i'm not in classes until next week? yeah, i'm REALLY REALLY happy! otherwise, well, i'd be ditching my first class since it's on tuesday nights...

i'm SO THERE!



sleeping beauty and the little mermaid are my ALL TIME FAVORITE disney movies! main reason is the storylines for both--i've always loved the fairy tales pertaining to them--AND they both have awesome villains....

this awesome news almost makes me feel better.....stupid cold....i can't even talk right now....

well, a few trees split in neighborhoods around me, but nothing happened here. power was out for a few hours i think where my brothers game, but other than that, nothing happened in town.

thousands are still without power, and when my mom talked to my aunt earlier today, they've been without power since like 5pm yesterday. some areas in cincinnati are STILL without power--try like half the city or something like that!--and wind gusts were clocked at 120mph or something like that.

all the rain.....it flooded south bend adn shut down parts of the toll road up north....

well didn't ran for very long here...but now we have to deal with wind gusts of around 50mph.

two miles north of me at the game preserve--where brothers game--the power's out.

no clue how long the wind advisory will continue, so we'll have to endure the wind rattling the house....



interesting how we didn't get as much rain as they predicted....

bleh.

three more weeks after this of the quarter and i'm ready for it to end!

i have no problems with my drawing and audio classes, i just don't like having to pull 7 sketches "from life" out of my ass each week. think i'll try and use a mirror and do one-handed ninja signs for a hand study--since i suck monkey balls at drawing hands.

for audio class, i have a 30-second radio ad due friday and i have NO FUCKING CLUE what to do it on.....was thinking a video game, then i thought of Naruto uncut DVD box set 9, then i thought of Stargate Atlantis season four DVD...i do have the atlantis opening on my computer that i can play in the bg--hell, regardless of what i do i have the music for it!

my friend erica's doing a dragonball z ad. my other friend ben is doing an ad for water--don't ask--and i have nothing. i have to get it done either tonight or in the morning and tomorrow night so i can turn it in friday. oh, and i have NO audio editing software on this fucking computer!!! GARH!!!!!


sorely tempted to find a trial for Cake Walk or Garage Band so i can at least edit the audio....it's that or i get the shitastic program known as Audacity. if i had the full adobe package--the one with after effects and premiere--i could use soundbooth. but, alas, i don't have $700 for the student package of CS3....sigh....(note: if i had $700, my ass would be at a car dealership and putting a down payment on a fucking CAR! or buying a treadmill so i can work out)

so yeah....stressed. tired. don't wanna draw seven sketches tonight and tomorrow. alarm's set for 5am so i can take a shower and work on said sketches before i leave for school. no clue how mom's gonna get me up there 'cause she doesn't have the money for gas and neither do i!

oh well. if i have to, i'll go to school when dad leaves for work....which i have no clue when that'll be. also, gotta remember to turn the microphone of utter CRAP back in to the school tomorrow.
