Today, I started in on my one artwork a day routine. It'll probably kill me, but I'll have one very pretty gallery on display after my death!
I'm looking for drawing prompts if anyone wants to link me to some long lists of chracter types or fun verbs or if anyone wants to send me their "wish lists." ;) I'll do fandom stuff if I have time (hahaha, what's that again?), but the main focus is on original. Karlyle and Kadaver, Dium, the crew from Daniel Payton, the Wanted boys, and a couple of other familiar faces are on the list so far. I'll also be buckling down to finish some comics for this as well. I'm a slave to art from now through mid-April, so if you ever think of a request, feel free to send it along.

My babies wanting me to get off the computer and play with them -- sorry sweethearts, mommy's busy!

Lillith after destroying the cloth ball I got her for Easter. Surprisingly, it was made of these things.

Seriously, y'all need to friend
onelinnovations. 'Cause that's where all the good stuff goes these days. From now on,
thealisonbailey is for real life. And maybe some other stuff. Stuff that needs a friends-lock. I'm not sure what yet. BUT!
onelinnovations is for the artsy, interesting stuff.
Go. Friend it. Admire the pretty pictures. Mayhaps one day we will have actual comic updates posted there. (And, maybe a contest or two to help clean out my inventory...)
For now, friend it because I'm just posted a little bitty preview of the Speed Racer fanbook Tracy and I are doing. Spritle goes up to be sexy like his brothers:

Got fourth in Duo and sixth in After Dinner Speaking at the speech competition on Saturday. Spent most of today at my grandfather's birthday party (we were only three grandsons away from having the entire Freeman clan there! the boys are such slackers!). Everything I aspired to do this weekend? Bumped to next weekend, I assume!
My life is becoming a series of Sunday evenings when I'm left thinking, "What? Where'd the rest of the week go?!" It's like I got to bed on Sunday, then wake up and it's Sunday evening again. I'm ready to get off the mach 3 merry-go-round of like now thanks. D=

I need to find some super villain monologues to use in my POI for Speech Team. Now, seeing as monologues seem to be one of the big jokes surrounding super villains, you wouldn't think that would be hard, but it is! D= I keep thinking I remember a few great ones, but then I go to look them up and I either 1.) remembered them incorrectly or 2.) they're not long enough for me (three lines does not a monologues make).
Specifically, I'm looking for something around three to five minutes, from a movie or television show. It can be James Bond, Mission Impossible, Superman, some parody flick I've never seen, whatever. I just need a super villain of some sort talking about being a super villain of some sort. You don't even have to give me exact quotes -- just point me in the right direction and I'll see if Netflix can help me out.
I'm probably supposed to do this POI for the weekend, but... I only have one of my two pieces, so it might have to wait for state's. Basically, the sooner, the better? Anything and everything is greatly appreciated!

This week was comics week apparently. Tuesday, I got Captain America #33, Young Avengers Presents #1 and Teen Titans Year One #1 in the mail -- which my friend A did dramatic readings of for me. XD She's a really good Robin. Seriously. Then, today the first issue from my subscription to Captain America arrived. Yay for getting issue #34 two days after hit hit stores and for Bucky being the new Cap. =D
Also this week, I drew some fanart! Yesterday, I was stuck on what to do for my daily crayon pic, so I took some inspiration from life: I was nibbling on a CRUNCH bar and eying the DC superheroes coloring book I brought back to the office for A. (But am not allowed to color in 'cause she won't let me.) So -- Batman and Superman decided to have some chocolate. Which makes the image fit nicely into
bradygirl_12's Chocolate Challenge.

For the third weekend in a row, I made pie. Today's was a caramel apple pie. It's good, but... half way through baking it, I wished I'd just made a plain ole' apple pie. It's like ordering the wrong thing at a restaurant. Ya' gotta grin and eat it, but you keep thinking about what the other would have been like. =/
Edit:

Last week's pie.

Eventually, I'll stop updating my blog when my website's blog updates, but in the meantime: A wee bit of art blogging at
onelinnovations.
Newspaper Archive.com has a couple of free collections online where you can browse old newspapers. My inner design geek meets up with my history nerdiness, along the way they find my lingering love for journalism and what started as perfectly legitimate research* turned into ZOMG!FUNTIME! =D
* I want to do the front and back covers of the literary magazine this year as old newspaper pages. 'Cause I think it would look neat.

Today, I made a pie and drew fanart. Since I can not mail warm cherry pie as easily, please partake in fanart.
Title: Making Pancakes
Pairing: Green Arrow/Black Canary
Rating: G!
For: 2008 DCU Fic/Art Valentine's Day Challenge, Prompts: Food. Anyone who would make me pancakes (because I made him do it or otherwise. ;3) would win my undying love. And, black lace... which turned into a black ruffle on the apron. Oh well. =P

Title: Look What We Made For You
Pairing: Bruce and his Boys
Rating: G!
For: 2008 DCU Fic/Art Valentine's Day Challenge, Prompts: Hearts. Sappy card and black -- that's why wee-Jason is blushing. 'Cause his card doesn't look like the others, and also 'cause he poured his wee-heart out in it.

The new Lonesome Dove mini-series started tonight. I was gonna post a reminder, but I kinda got tied up with other stuff. ... It's really good. ... You can catch parts two and three Tuesday and Wednesday?
I now have a record player in my studio! =D (Okay, it's in the upstairs living room, but still! Close enough!) Now to dig through the closet to find the 45's!
I am never changing my site design again. Never. Ever.
onelinnovations has the updates, and I has a headache.
I'll clean up some things and attend to e-mails and such in the morning. Now, I'm going to bed and hoping I don't dream in html.

One Of These People Will Be The New Captain America... The rest will have to settle for the consolation prize: a toaster. Or maybe everyone will get a toaster, 'cause it's really going to be Sharon's baby, come back from the future! Captain America Jr.! (Hey, Scott Summers' alternate-universe children do it all the time, why not?)
New Captain America? Do not want.

I got my new ornament pattern done. I made my original pattern bigger -- almost twice as big! -- to make cutting and gluing easier. Now everyone can have a Wanted "bulb" on their tree. I'm sorry if my instructions aren't clear. I felt like an idiot writing them. --;
Now that I have this pattern, I wanna make some more. Like -- ! Like -- ! Batman...
December seems to be the month for self-publishing. (And breaking Alison's bank -- dang it guys...) I put out my first mini-comic five years ago* this month.
* I'm planning on celebrating somehow once the holidays are over. Keep an eye out for more details. This would be a lot easier if y'all were close enough to take me out for a drink. XD

I moved my studio tree from the studio to the living room. My studio's a mess, I plan on doing work in there during break and making it a bigger mess, and that's where the storage boxes used to house our family tree and al of our decorations went -- I'm allowed to put it in the living room. =P The tree has four ornaments from other peoples (so far!), then four ornaments by me (so far!), and of course, one of my lamb hand puppets as a topper.
( Ornament photos -- including this year's first finished ornament -- under the cut. )
After the mini-lecture I got about not having most of my drawing projects completed, I am quite happy with that "B."
I’m planning on doing an ornament exchange this year. As in years past, you send me an ornament you’ve made (sewn, crocheted, origami, etc) and I’ll send you and ornament I’ve made. I’ve got plans to do a couple different designs (‘cause I’m putting one of every ornament I make on my tree, too), but outside of the ornaments I’m making for me, I’d like to get an estimate of how many I might need.
I don’t want to make ten but need one hundred or make one hundred and need ten. So, let’s all take a poll!
