If you had me alone, locked up in your house for twenty-four hours and I had to do whatever you wanted me to, what would you do with me? All replies will be permanently screened because it's a secret.
Then repost this in your LJ.
You might be surprised with the responses you get. |

the Wit
(56% dark, 13% spontaneous, 16% vulgar) |
your humor style: CLEAN | COMPLEX | DARK
You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean you're pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat.
I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer. Your sense of humor takes the most effort to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.
Also, you probably loved the Office. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check it out here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/.
PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Jon Stewart - Woody Allen - Ricky Gervais |

I took this once yesterday, and got The Prankster. I took it again today, and got The Wit. I'm pretty borderline, I guess. |

1. Copy and paste your friendslist behind a cut. 2. If you've friended multiple journals by the same person, delete all but the "main" one. 3. Bold the name of everyone you know or have met in "real life." 4. Italicize the name of everyone you've spoken to on the phone.* 5. Underline the name of everyone you've chatted with online. (I'm assuming LJ doesn't count, but anything else online does) 6. [Bracket] people you've known, online or off, for more than five years. 7. Turn family members red (I assume either related or people you consider family) 8. Turn your best friend blue. 9. Pass it on.

Reply with your name and I'll tell you something I adore about you. Afterwards, copy and paste this into your own journal, so I may do the same. |

| 2004, a year somewhat different from the previous one |
[Jan. 17th, 2005|12:11 am] |
No, my copy of Blueberry Boat hasn't arrived yet, and no, I haven't seen The Incredibles yet. But i figure since it's the middle of January, I'd better review the best of the year while the reviewing's good. Pretty soon I'll be engrossed in some new Bright Eyes albums and knee-deep in Ibsen, and that'll pretty much dominate my life for a while.
2004 was... different. A year of firsts in a lot of ways. The end of my first year at university, and the fist time I've made the Dean's List. I finally got my driver's lisence, and there were the firsts that one associates with such an event. I worked real manual labour for the first time for four months over the summer, and got in my first car accident. I also bought my first guitar, which I embarassingly still haven't learned to play. And very importantly, I was happy with my body and unconcerned about getting a girlfriend for the first time in years. And lo, much as it was prophecized by a wise man, I was rewarded with a girlfriend. It didn't last very long, but it was an unforgettable experience, and I don't regret a minute of it. My first date, my first kiss, and yes, my first night spent rolling around on a blanket in the bushes while the cops looked for kids just like us doing just what we were doing to kick out of the park.
Aah, young love.
When I wasn't catching up on several years of lost adolescence, I was usually listening to music. My collection of CDs grew to over 200, and my collection of Vinyl increased a hundredfold. When my house flooded, I lost a lot of the vinyl and the insurance company rewarded me with enough money to buy an iPod. She and I have been inseparable ever since. I discovered some great music, saw some fantastic movies, and discovered some great new television shows. All in all, 2004 was less angst-filled than 2003 and a year I'll always remember.
( But now, on with the show. ) |
