Drinking Liberally Pittsburgh meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at Buffalo Blues on 216 S. Highland Ave. in Shadyside starting at 7:00PM in the upper deck.
The next DL Pittsburgh will be Tuesday, October 14th.
Come and meet with us for an evening of progressive conversation about what's going on in the city, state, country and the world!

I did a search of the memories and came up blank. I'm looking for a place that has good Chinese Dim Sum in the Pittsburgh area because I'm an Asian kid from Boston and I use to go like literally every weekend to Chinatown with my family for dim sum and miss it so much. Any suggestions? |

You might be wondering what all of the commotion is in Schenley Plaza this week.
The Pittsburgh debut of the latest work from local performance masters Squonk Opera will take place October 15-18 at 8 p.m. at Schenley Plaza in Oakland. All performances are FREE and fun for the whole family!
In the case of rain, the show will be canceled. Check here each day for show update.

1. Sure, you can buy sex, but can you buy cuddles? I've got this urge to just snuggle someone, and dammit, I'm in between snugglable people. Or, er, not, as the case may be.
2. Calamari soap is a weird pinkish-mauve when wet sometimes, and sometimes purple-grey, but usually, dry or wet, it's the peachy grey color of undead flesh. I want to make more of it, and pour it into brain-shaped molds. Absinthe soap, is a gorgeous frothy yellow, and it confounds the pantry weevils.* It smells so tasty, but they cannot eat it. Ha!
3. The bunnies are at war with me over the placement of a certain small rug. I say it goes by the bed, for my feet; they say it goes under the bed, for their bellies. I should be winning, since I have thumbs, but they push it so far back I can't reach it. Evil bunnies!
4. Just found out that the stuff growing all over the yard of the old house was purslane, an edible weed. Hear that sound? That's  Afi slapping her forehead in her sleep at a gastronomical opportunity missed!
5. It's her birthday, you know. DOOM!
* Like little roly-polies. Once they're in a pantry, they're nigh impossible to get rid of and expensive to boot (which explains why the landlord didn't, before we moved in), and they can get into damn near any container--even jars. Hence the use of the pantry for drying out soap... |

McCain vs. Obama, I just don't know. I mean, Obama made me a mix tape, but McCain is yelling at spiders again, and I hear Sarah Palin downloaded Creed from your iTunes account.
Ron Paul, meanwhile, won't shut about up those four thousand babies and talked through the whole movie. No wonder nobody takes him seriously as a candidate.
On the other hand, Hillary Clinton is comprised of proprietary content, which I'm pretty sure is illegal in this state, but at least Michelle Obama never shot you in the face and made you say you were sorry.
