[Friday April 25th, 2008 at 5:52pm] Shmurf and I (accidentally) organized the biggest gay-rights protest that has ever happened in the QC area! When we got to school today, there were about 10 of the GOD HATES FAGS people protesting in front, so we went to go yell at them. Then our friends walked out of class and their friends, etc. till we had MORE THAN 80 STUDENTS CHEERING FOR GAY RIGHTS! We ended up with food, drinks, music, and signs. It was like a giant gay fiesta! We were all smiles and boogying down and cracking jokes. We protested the protesters in front of the school from 7:20 this morning till 3:00 this afternoon. We're in all the local newspapers and on all the news channels, it's so amazing! My mom and Jessy's mom came out to hold signs, too! And people 5 blocks away said they could hear us chanting. We got so much support from the community and passerby, and the GOD HATES FAGS people were just getting booed. One of the the coolest things was that our whole movement was completely unplanned and came mostly from us texting students inside the school and telling them to join us. It's just got a blank screen and when I plug it into the computer nothing happens. --My stepdad's grandma died last night. They're making me to go the funeral, which is fucked because my whole life she cut me out of family photos and told me that I wasn't part of the family because I'm not blood-related. --I've been paranoid again. When I'm driving, I always think that all the other cars are cops for some weird reason. And I'm pretty much convinced that all my friends hate me and they talk about me behind my back (I'm assuming they don't, but I'm still not so sure). --School has become the enemy. I think my super-anxiety towards school has started to manifest itself as physical sickness. My "Holy shit I don't wanna be around all those human beings" turned into puking and I was home sick for a good chunk of this week. --I've been crying off and on since friday afternoon for no real reason. --A ton of people who used to be very against drugs and alcohol aren't anymore. It disappoints me, I guess? Jessy and I are the only ones who are Straight Edge now. --The cat's sick again. And I know it's retarded, but I worry about her more than anything else. It fucks me up to see her in pain. --So many things are changing and I was completely unprepared for it.

I've been listening to them since the "Fever..." demos came out, and I bought the cd the day it dropped. But I could care less who they're screwing and it's just been within the last month or so that I've been able to tell any of them apart. But this cd? It's flawless, a pretty amazing show-off of their talents. They did change their sound quite a bit, but I do like it because they're the type of band that does everything with fierce fucking style. They kind of infect your brain with their sugary pop melodies and force you to sing along. Yeah, it's a total 100% Beatles ripoff. The last album was a Chuck Palahniuk ripoff, I'm cool with that. My only problem is that now that they don't have Chuck Palahniuk quotes to fall back on, the lyrics could've used some more work. You could 'cause you can so you do? Really? I first heard about it when I was 13-ish, I think from a show on the discovery channel or something like that. [Tuesday February 26th, 2008 at 10:46pm] The past month or so has been surreal, kind of an out-of-myself experience. Everything's a big blur, but there's no reason that it should be that way. What I've been thinking about: --Lists. Everything in my head right now is piled in crooked little list-like stacks. --You know how most teenage girls go through that "WAH I AM SO FUCKING UGLY!" stage at like 12 or 13? Mine's just now hitting, 5 years late, and it's... hard? I never really had any self-esteem issues until now, but it's deeper than just "I'm fat and weird-looking". I'm really hating my personality, my little mannerisms, the way I don't look people in the eye, every peice of clothing I own, just... everything. --I might get my hand-web pierced, I'm definitely giving it serious thought. It's kind of a cool piercing, but also kind of stupid-looking. I like it! My only problem is that I always have paint and ink all over my hands, it might get infected. --Usually what I've been doodling is a peek inside my mind. I've been drawing a lot of Patrick (because seriously, I just wanna hug him), portraits with huge eyes and lips, weird mouth/scizzors/microphone/octopus combinations, cassette tapes, old men, and lots of lighters. --Lots of Against Me! All of a sudden, people talk to me, and I stay out late, and I do Normal Teenage Girl Activities. And then all of a sudden, WHAM! It hits me that I am the most socially awkward person to ever live (which goes back to my fucked up self-esteem) There's more, but it doesn't sound right when I put it into words. And another list... The How Brittany's Going To Feel Better About Herself List! --Grow my hair out! I went through old pictures today and I realized that I look so much prettier with long hair. Be prapared for about a year of ugly I'm-growing-my-hair-out pictures, because it grows really slow. --Somehow scrounge up some money and get a pair of pants that aren't ruined. Clothes are one of the basic human needs, and I don't have any bottoms to wear except pajama pants. I need new skirts, too. My favorite one got killled at the last SCW show. --Start the slow, grueling campaign of Why My Parents Should Let Me Get My Handweb Peirced. --Get somone pretty to notice me? Maybe just a little? I feel so fucking overlooked in the romance department. Hell, even in the let's-make-out department. [Friday February 22nd, 2008 at 10:29pm] So nobody came to the fucking show tonight, so they're shutting down the SCW building. Which means no all-ages venues in the Quad Cities at all. Yeah. Shitty. I thought everyone would go crazy, because it was the last show, but everyone was douche-y. There were adorable mohawked girls. [Wednesday February 20th, 2008 at 8:39pm] I came home today, and my mom was like "Oh, when Steve gets up for work, ask him about Johnny Knoxville." And immediately, I went "OMG JOHNNY KNOXVILLE DIED?!!" He didn't die, but he did lose one of his balls in an accident! I guess he ripped off one of his testicles while trying to do a motorcycle stunt for the MTV takeover? And he almost bled to death? So yeah. Fucking uncool you guys. ----- I got my car back yesterday! It works now and it even has heat! The blower and the ignition were broken. It cost $600 to fix, but the parents already owed me $500, so I'm a lucky little shit. ----- I'm thinking about applying to Hot Topic. Yeah, their clothes are overpriced and low quality, but I might as well get a 40% discount on makeup and free concert tickets, right? I'm going to apply at local thrift stores and stuff, too. ----- Ben was playing some video game called Snake Eater, which was full of gay innuendos (like being called "Snake Eater"!), and his character looked exactly like Mikey Way!
