Anyone watch the show GREEK? My sister likes the show, and I just so happened to watch it last night... low and behold, during the school dance scene they played (you guessed it) a Guster song -- "I Hope Tomorrow is Like Today". They seem to play that in a lot of TV shows. I've heard that song in more movies and TV shows than any other Guster song. I'm not complaining :) I just think it's interesting. |

hey guys!
so as a broke should-be-out-of-college-but-i'm-not student living in south florida, i can't see guster nearly as often as i'd like. so i was totally psyched when i saw they had scheduled a show in ft. lauderdale before they left for the ships n dip cruise this year (because last year they set sail without so much as a hello for those of us who can't affort cruises AND because they were actually here and played a show in october...what luck!). within the first 20 seconds of gus gracing the stage, i realized why they had scheduled the show. WE WERE GUINEA PIGS! with brian away having babies, tyler the drummer from barenaked stepped in. they must have thought, "hey, let's do a show at that small place in ft. lauderdale. we have no fans in florida, so if we fuck up, no one will notice! it'll be like practice, but with more people!" (or something like that).
anyways, what followed was a most-awesome show (i don't think it beat october's "hey guys, we're going to get totally wasted 2/3 through this show and then spend a good portion of the rest of it free-styling) that i felt so lucky to see. i took a couple short videos with my camera which aren't of the best quality, but i'll post them up here later when i get the chance. tyler crowned himself the "lightning goddess" and ryan kept forgetting lyrics. it was a blast!
the thundergod is truly irreplacable, but i believe everybody on the cruise is getting the next best thing. but what i really want to know, is where was scooter? |

why did i just hear "come on" on a commercial for a heart stint? um, okay. i enjoyed hearing it and all but totally didn't expect that commercial when i ran into the room to check it out. |

i finally joined the rest of the world and got a phone that can support real ringtones. naturally, i want a guster one. i went to their site and for some reason the link to ringtones won't work. do any of you have a guster tone? if so, where did you get it and what song is it of? |

Hi!... new here. I'm Lauren, 21, from Iowa and have been a HUGE fan of Guster for years...
Okay... so this is bad quality and what-not, but I was very proud of myself...
I got to build the stage, set the lights and sound, set and help tech the equipment, and help run the lights and sound for a Guster concert a couple months ago.
Guster is, and has been since I was 13, my all time favorite band. So, of course this was a realy big deal for me.
I also got to see them a week ago at Summerfest along with AFI, Sum41, Plain White T's, Wax On Radio, Ben Folds, Jack's Mannequin... and about 200 other bands that I didn't get to/didn't want to see. We got right up front but way too far to stage right and all we could see was the amps and the neck of Ryan's guitar. There were about 3000 people at that show so finding a better spot was impossible... luckily, I started chatting up, and had a lot in common with one of the bouncers/security gaurds best friends who was standing right behind me before the show started. About five songs in, and a lot of jumping to try and see something Mr. Security dude leaned over the rails and told me and my friend to go ahead and jump the barracades and come back behind the gates (no sexual anything involved)... which made him my most favorite security gaurd ever.
Now I'm trying to save up money to go down to Florida on vacation after the first of the year for the Ships and Dip cruise... a whole week, in Florida, on a cruise with GUSTER as the ships house band... couldn't ask for more.

I bought a ticket through Guster ticketing for the show in Indy @ The Lawn and I need the extra cash. Anyone want to help me out? I think I bought it for $38.50, but I will sell it for $30 and send it as soon as I get the money. Paypal would be perfect then I could get the ticket to you even faster.

Those of you who were at earthfest already know this, but to those who weren't: All the artists did a signing after their set. My friend and I left our lawn spot in the middle of Guster's set so that we could get a spot in the signing line -- and boy am I glad we did, because a huge crowd showed up right after us.
So, after 7 years of obsessive fandom and failed attempts at 7 other concerts, I can finally say that I have met Guster. |

After the Boston show I thought it might be until Fall that I'd be able to see them again. So far I'm going to 3 shows that were just added. Keep adding shows close to home!!! |
