Hehehe see I did post in the weekend . actually quite please with how this turned out. Need some comments here people. Do you need more to this story - which would be actual and not implied stuff or can i stop here? Since I have now two seperate arch going would appreciate some feedback on what you want to read - else I am not sure myself waht I will do next.

Hey Act 1 : Parts 2 - 8 of the Time is the Enemy Arc is complete - swing by my live journal for all of it. Since I started posting here after I had written those: i dont wanna crowd this space by cluttering it with 7 new Posts - unless you want me to cof course,,,, - *grin thought not. This is NOT Relasted to the TiThE enemy story line. Comes from all the people who want Ban and Ginji...
Once I get a story in my head I cant leave well enough alone. This story got me so freaking involved I'll probably end up doing Part 2 before the weekend is up. The is BAN & GINJI. Ginji is Seme. was thinking about why Ban was so against the witches that he would run away when he was 9 or 10 years old from Maria - who is actually a pretty neat woman. This got the story rolling. Again based on English Manga and stuff I have inadvertantly picked up from the net - so spoilers alert. Another warning - it actually hurt writing part one. And if I managed to touch your emotions in any way please tell..

The Honky Tonk quaked. Himiko, Akabane, Shido, Emishi, Kazuki and Hevn all sprinted across the city towards their unofficial 'club house". The four had been returning from a mission when they had felt enormous spiritual pressure followed by an explosion of energy that had come from the direction of the Cafe.

Also, the name Mathilda (sometimes spelled Matilda) is of Teutonic derivation, from words meaning "might, strength" and "battle" (alternatively, “strength in battle”) – and as we all know, our darling Kuroudo has a fondness for such attributes..!

Because of an extraordinary freak accident, the friend who stumbled onto my AFF account got ahold of chapter 3 and I got teased some more and he got walloped on the leg. So it doesn't matter anymore. I see that on GetBackers World [http://aa.1asphost.com/gbworld/] there is a lot of merch listed that I haven't been able to locate anywhere online. The things that site has listed do not seem to be for sale through the site. I've tried eBay but it's mostly the manga or dvd box sets

After a sudden attack by a plot bunny one day, I decided to write my very first GetBackers fanfic. I'm actually in the middle of several other fanfics, though none of them GB-related, and I was supposed to be on haitus because I'm so very busy, but you writers know what it's like. Anyway, enough rambling... here's the story:
Title: Get Back the Flag of Faith

Warnings/Spoilers: Minor spoiler for the history of the First Generation GetBackers. Contains manga-only character Rena. (By suggestion of a friend, I removed all spoilers from manga volumes that Tokyopop has yet to publish so more people can read it.)
Summary: A family heirloom, the flag belonging to the legendary samurai faction Shinsengumi, has been stolen. It's owner, descended from a Shinsengumi warrior, engages the GetBackers to reclaim it. Things get complicated when another seeker of the treasure gets into action, and another repossession team appears.
Characters (appeared or scheduled to appear): Ban, Ginji, Paul, Natsumi, Rena, Kazuki, Juubei, Hevn, Shido, Emishi, Himiko, Akabane and 2 Original Characters
Notes: As I've always read the Chinese manga and I haven't watched the anime in ages, I forgot how most of the catch phrases should go in English. So if I've made them different or caused the characters to sound out of character, please correct me. Also, my knowledge of the Shinsengumi is pretty limited. What I've written here is based on what I've seen from pop culture, wikepedia and samuraiarchives. If I've made a mistake with the historical aspects, please correct me too! Thanks!

I like it because it isn't one of those silly random quizzes that are just meant for you to help you get the character result you want and brag about it later. It asks some pretty decent questions with relevant answers. If you do the quiz seriously and keep your responses real, you may really find a true character personality match for yourself.
What's more, I find the result pretty accurate for me. And I swear I'm not saying this because I got Kazuki as my character match. I've never thought of myself to be like Kazuki, but I feel that the creator of the quiz had put in substantial effort to analyze the characters' personalities to make them apply to real life situations.

Hi everyone! I've been lurker of this community for some time, mainly because I'm not an active livejournal user (I only use it for online shopping), but today, I just thought I'd join up and post and make friends! I'm kurodatenshi from Singapore but you can just call me kuro. I haven't written any entries in my livejournal blog, but you can visit my blog here if you are interested.
My thoughts about GetBackers
I've actually only read up till Vol 33 of the manga but I have all the books at hand so I hope I can finish them soon. I watched the anime until the end of the first infinity fortress arc and skipped the rest of the chapters because I know they don't follow the manga closely after that, which I find such a waste because the manga is really good. I like GetBackers because it has huge depth. Most of the characters' personalities and background are pretty well-developed. The author also utilizes a lot of information from scientific, historical and religious events and stories, which I found really cool because we get to learn things at the same time. Incidentally, the author is the same author for detective manga Files of the Young Kindaichi and Detective School Q, check those out if you like intellectual stories. I love how the author depicts the relationships and bonding between the various characters. The way they help each other in times of trouble, even at the expense of self-sacrifice, is very touching. Also, it definitely helps that the artist has kick-ass art and has a knack for drawing bishounen. My favorite arcs are Divine Design and The Eternal Bond.
The only complaints I have is that sometimes the plot gets too complicated to follow up every single detail, especially in the voodoo child arc and the get back the lost time arc when they suddenly introduce new concepts, curses, virtual reality, IT-terms (Seriously, Makubex, I'm with Emishi. Sometimes i really don't know what you're talking about!). Maybe it's because I'm reading it in Chinese, and the names and translations really complicate matters. Also, overly-large boobs and near-naked ladies put me off. I can't even read the manga in the presence of my mum! I wonder if anyone feels the same way as I do?
My favorite character is Kazuki because he's cute, intelligent, kicks butt really well and is a really sweet and kind person. (Ok I know this applies to a lot of characters in your opinion, but I'll just admit that I have a weakness for pretty boys all right?) I'm also beginning to like Makubex more after he got more opportunities to appear in Get back the lost time. I only wish he made more appearances. He's such a deep person, and it helps that he's cute too. If only I could understand the weird stuff he says half the time lol. My favorite pairing in the series is Emishi and Amon. Not in the yaoi sense but the friendship sense. I'm not a huge fan of yaoi. I think they are so hilarious together. There needs to be more pages on them!
To prevent this from being a boring text-only post, I'll post a few Kazuki scans from the manga. Actually there are probably a lot better pics than these, but I've only scanned them from books 30 and 31 because I was just reading them just now and decided to do a little scanning. They are in the cut right at the bottom of this post.
Before we get to the pics, has anyone heard of TV Tropes? GetBackers has a page on there too. Let's fill it up to make it more comprehensive!

This is the second installment of Blood and Sharps, again written when I should have been accomplishing other things. A whole damn slew of other things, will schoolwork never end??? Or at least lessen to the point that I and the others in my course can breathe? Anywho, RL aside, I am afraid of suddenly realizing that I am writing a Mary Sue (for generally, that entire genre of fanfiction makes my skin crawl), and I would like to humbly beg forgiveness if this turns into one. Or rather, I'd like somebody to hunt me down and knock some sense into me. (Perhaps I am allowing the plot bunny too much of a free rein...?)
