The night of her conception,
drunk, she shed her dormant wings
and danced out the door
into the woods.
It would be weeks before she re-emerged,
gloomy and smelling of the earth.
She would find that the purple streaks
in her hair had not washed out
and her eyes turned green --
light as the absinthe in a square
bottle on her shelf.
Her eyeliner, smudged,
became the dark vocabulary
of her new life.

I bought a few of the novels, the latest video game, and I've been watching my 7 season DVD set. But there will soon be an end to my CSI withdrawal.

I've been checking out various fanfiction challenge communities and decided to make up a prompt table for my own use. Some prompts are borrowed, and others are mine. My goal is to finish a majority of the table by the end of the year. My fandom of choice lately is CSI, and the stories I end up writing will most likely be Nick/Warrick.
Aaaand I'm still adding to the table. Can't do it all in one sitting. So if you happen to have a prompt suggestion, then I'm listening :)
