ABOUT THE LAYOUT: This layout is best viewed in Firefox. It looks very wrong in Internet Explorer (at least in IE6), so please don't bother commenting to say so. ;)

A final farewell to the lovely man behind everyone's favourite General. May you rest in peace, Don S. Davis -- 1942-2008.

For those who haven't heard, Don died of a heart attack on 29th of June, Sunday morning. The full story is HERE, at Gateworld. Sounds like he would have been a lovely and interesting guy to sit down and have a chat with. I'm sure his many fans, family, and friends will greatly miss him.

This chocolate cake is the EASIEST I've come across, yet its still moist and tasty! I do recommend olive oil over the likes of vegetable oil, as the taste is less obvious. ;)

Oh yeah, I know the layout doesn't work pretty much at all in IE6. I hate it, LOL. I can't get around a lot of differences (e.g. how IE handles PNG images) so from now on, I'm going to pretend that browser doesn't exist. Get Firefox! ;)

Oh yeah, it looks pretty dodge in IE6 - if anyone knows how to make the background be normal (look like it does in Firefox), please let me know, coz it bugs me no end when my layouts aren't compatible with IE and FF... Yes I'm a perfectionist. LOL!

Also, if you see any other problems (e.g. positioning out of whack, etc.) let me know. :) I've only seen it in my laptop's 1280x800 resolution, so I have no clue what it looks like in anything else!

CHOCOLATE SELF-SAUCING PUDDING:



(OK, the picture was Googled, but it does look like that!! :D)

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cups SR Flour
1 Tbsp baking cocoa
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp margarine, melted
1 cup milk

Sauce:
2 Tbsp baking cocoa
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups boiling water

METHOD:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius. Grease a 2L ovenproof dish. Combine sifted flour and cocoa with sugar. Whisk together the egg, margarine, and milk. Add to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Spread pudding mix into the greased dish. For the sauce, dissolve the cocoa and sugar in the boiling water and pour over the pudding mix. Bake for around 35-40 minutes. Serve with cream or ice cream.

I made this cheesecake the other night. It's LOVELY! :D :D I thought I'd share the recipe with you guys, purely because it's the simplest and easiest cheesecake I've ever made, yet so worth it!

You know those really tasty passed-down-through-the-generations type recipes? Well, I have a few of them that have been passed on to me through my Dad's side of the family. They are those lovely, traditional type baked goods.

I've been intending to make an apple pie for a few weeks now, so today I finally bought the stuff I needed and did it. ( The recipe... )

Mmmm... my kitchen smells SO good right about now! :D

I made these the other day. They're really quick and easy and taste pretty good. Makes maybe about 14-16 muffins, depending how big you make them...? Enjoy! :D

Banana Choc-Chip Muffins:

Ingredients:
1 cup margarine
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 egg
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bi-carb soda
1 cup choc chips

Preheat oven to about 180 degrees celcius. Blend butter and sugar. Add the egg, banana and vanilla and blend more. Add the flour, baking powder, and bi-carb and blend until mixed thoroughly. Finally add choc chips and mix slowly (by hand, even) until they are evenly through the mix. Spoon into greased cups of a muffin tray and bake for about 25 minutes.

I finally got to finish my first "proper" fanfic. By "proper", I mean not a drabble. I'm not a big fanfic writer (I prefer writing original stuff when I do write), so it's been a bit of a hard slog, and it's not that wonderful. I'd really appreciate some creative critisim from you all (or at least those of you who watch Atlantis!!). Anything is good, from gramatical errors (I try and pick these up, but there's often a few we miss, isn't there?) to factual errors, to how characters would behave around/independent of each other.
