Not gonna talk about yesterday. >_> Let's just say it was a bad blood day as Lucy wasn't able to find a vein and I gave up (ie: cry) after the third prick. I was suppose to go back Monday to try it again (this time taking a Xanax an hour before apply cream before as well) as well as have a chest x-ray taken, but more about that in a little bit.
Afterwards I went to my parents to spend time with Buddy and get details thus far on Kiddo and MiMi's trip to the AI finale.
Today Dad took me to hip class at the Doctor's office in Dallas. Dad went along with me and heard what would be going on for my operation as well as post-op. Then there was mention of a quick blood check to see what our hemoglobin level is. And you guessed it, I started getting nervous. (sigh) And this was a thumper prick like you do to check blood sugar. I had to turn to Dad and ask, "How 'bout them Rangers?" as the lady pricked me. Once it was over it was no big deal, but dang I just have a terrible time getting there. (heavy sigh). -_- BTW, my hemoglobin level is 13.6 which is very good. :)
Dad and I saw what they will be putting inside my hip (though smaller), and if I don't screw anything up after surgery I will not have to have another right hip operation for the rest of my life.
I also found out that I have to "bike" for the rest of my life now, and I need to start using my stamina pedals everyday. I also found out that Dr. Dickie is resting comfortably in Las Vegas. :D Yes I need to go there for my health as well. ;) Buzz (his assistant) informed me that Dr. Dickie was thinking about my up coming operation, and he thinks it would be wise for me to have my operation push back once again. I guess he wants to be sure he's in top form to operate on my body since it is a little bit tricky. >_> I was so wanting to avoid the hot Texas Summer during my recovery, but alas...
So anyway, I won't have to have my chest x-ray and bloodwork until June 16th. (heh)
So the saga continues...
Went back to Mom and Dad's and played with the puppy, and the little fart bit my left leg as we were playing. But he was happy and playful when he did it, so it was okay. I can't wait to see him this week-end :D
