I'm back from the dead again. Spontaneity has been updated at last with a whopping chapter 24. Also, The Sandman's Kiss was nominated for the SKoW romance awards under Best Completed Slash. I feel rather outclassed, to be honest, but it's an honor nonetheless. :) You can vote for your favorite stories here. (Haha, or you could be like me and treat the Best Slash category as a rec list. There are some awesome stories in it.) So, the next project is either Love for Ransom, which has undergone a serious restructuring and expansion of the plot and characters (for the better, I assure you), or Whimsy, my Lastly, ( kitty! ) I've got to get back to work in half an hour. :( Oh, the joys of being a pizza wench. |

The Sandman's Kiss has been updated with the epilogue and is, at last, officially completed. As for what comes next ... well, I'm working on the next chapter of Spontaneity and the next chapter of Love for Ransom (seriously ... I keep forgetting to finish of the next chapter and post it). I'm debating whether I should bother starting a new project. Should I start one, the likely candidate is the jinni story I posted the summary for in an earlier post. For now, my goal is to update Love for Ransom. It's back to college in less than a week, though, so we'll see if I have any time to do much of anything. |

Sandman has been updated with chapter eleven. I know this is a bad time to update, but if I don't do it now, I'm just going to keep putting it off. Chapter twelve will be up in a week--if it's not, feel free to harass me. Happy whatever holiday you celebrate, everyone. |

Well, I accomplished my goal for the Thanksgiving Break. Sandman is complete, save a bit of editing. Unfortunately, I'm now entering the hibernation period of finals, so I don't know when I'll find time to reread the entire story and edit the last chapters accordingly. Regardless, my goal is to post the last chapter on/by December 18th, three years from the day the story was first posted. This post shall serve multiple purposes: A) I wrote a very silly, very crackilicious fanfic drabble for my darlingest Catalyst Drabble Fandom: Catalyst by Becky ( Rating: G Summary: The true source of Aurel's craziness B) The status for updates is as follows: Spontaneity - 10% Sandman - 60% Love for Ransom - 20% I will post chapter eleven of Sandman when I finish chapter twelve so that I can post them within a week of each other. :) I'm so excited to finally finish a full length story. C) I might be going to Anime Boston 2007. I'm being peer pressured into wearing no pants for a cosplay. (I won't do it, Becky! I won't! <3 ) |

So my chemistry midterm tonight raped and pillaged my brain. I celebrated by posting the new chapter of Spontaneity. I hope someone enjoys. And doesn't glare at me. My LJ badly needs a makeover. One of these days. Oh, and now that FictionPress is all shiny and techno-fied I know how many people read the first chapter of Spontaneity and run away screaming. XD My life is complete. Night. Love. - Lils |

Well, I've been busy in college for the past two months or so. I like it, I think, but I'm very, very busy. I'm strangely inspired to write even though I have no time. I've met a lot of wondeful people, so that probably helps. Plus, writing is a nice break from chemistry owning my soul. The point of this post is this: I've completed the next chapter of Sandman (the second to last one) as well as the next chapter in Spontaneity and half of the last chapter of Sandman. I'll update both Sandman and Spontaneity soon, but I was wondering if anyone (not that anyone reads this ...) would be willing to take a look at the next chapter of Sandman and give me a beta-like opinion on something. If you'd be willing to, reply here or send me an e-mail at liliasw(at)gmail.com. Thanks tons. ^^ I hope everyone is well. :) |

Yes, I am dead. In a relative sense. I'm heading off to college tomorrow morning so I'll be rather busy very soon. I have written some, and I do intend to update most of my stories as soon as I can. I have also, predictably, begun new stories. I'm not even going to lie to myself and think that I will reply to e-mails/comments, but thank you all for your words--they do mean a lot to me. Depending on how happy my new life turns out, I may or may not be making more of an appearance at a later date. I'll put up an excerpt for this new story next time, hopefully: [m/m slash] Little did Casey know opening a can of coke one fine day would summon him a bad-tempered, misanthropic jinni cursed to obey his every whim. Here's the first couple pages (rough-draft version) of the next chapter in Spontaneity, for anyone who is still interested: ( Spontaneity chapter 23 excerpt ) Wish me luck in college. Boston, here I come. |

So! Finally! Spontaneity has been updated with chapter 22, which is rather long (read: 20 pages). Also, I finally put up my oneshot/short story of boys' love WAFFiness called Finding Serendip. I'm sort of nervous about posting the latter, since it's also rather long and isn't as in-your-face slash as most of my other stories. Nevertheless, it has been a important piece for me, and I hope at least someone doesn't find it boring. I'm not really expecting a lot of people to decide to spend the time reading it, but I'd love whatever feedback people are willing to give. On a non-writing note, things are still very busy for me, but I'm dealing with it. Most of my college things are in by now. One acceptance thus far, but replies from the rest won't come for a few months yet. In the meantime, I've got my hands full with scholarships, class, and miscellaneous extracurriculars (Why did I agree to tutor a sophomore in chemistry? I know I'm a terrible teacher, so why did I say yes? o.x). Have also gained a recent love for the animes Kyou Kara Maou and Bleach and strongly desire to read fanfic for them, but I've yet to find the time to search out the good stuff. I'm sure no one is reading this anymore, and I've lost touch with most of the people who would be, but how is everyone? I hope well, and I'd love to hear from anyone. :) |

As boring as I am normally, my journal has been exceptionally boring since school started, so I thought I would drop in a word to let the So, to summarize, I'm crazybusy and therefore probably won't be updating any of my stories for a while (though I may put in-progress snippets up here). And AP Chem owns my soul. x.x <--going to fail a test tomorrow |

I would like to announce the happy occurrence of me posting an independent story whose title does not begin with the letter S. I finally posted Love for Ransom, a slash/humor story I've been working on for a while. I had promised myself that I wouldn't post another story until I finished an existing one, but I changed my mind. Today is my eighteenth birthday, and posting this is a sort of lame gift to myself. Following is a summary of LfR and a few excerpts from the first chapter. Also, here is the full first chapter on FictionPress: LfR. I'd love feedback. ;.; /shameless plug The reason I've been MIA is, unsurprisingly, school. I had fun kayaking oddly enough, but, since school started, I've had zero free time due to my heavy course load. We'll see how writing will fit into this schedule. x.x Um. Yeah, yay for being legal finally. I had a very good birthday, thanks to my friends and family. Sometimes I feel like I'm not grateful enough for them. Hope everyone is doing well! Summary: Sev is your average smartass extraordinaire and a member of an elite class. Strange luck lands him in the company of a group of amateur robbers hitchhiking across the galaxy and trying not to kill each other in the process—as their hostage. [Slash] Excerpts:( click ) |

No updates, sadly. Just a notice that I'll be out of contact for several days, wandering around in the woods somewhere in upper Wisconsin. I leave tomorrow for the camp program my school forces us into every year, and, as I am finally a Senior, I will be going kayaking. Theoretically. And that's assuming I don't catch whatever plague my dad has by tomorrow. I'm strangely almost looking forward to going, even as I curse it as I always have. Nothing can be worse than Sophomore year's backpacking, at least. And this year I'm packing some serious goodies: marshmallows, ramen, Zone bars, and matches. >> So ... here's a little blurb from the next chapter in Spontaneity, ( The List ) Well, hope it won't be hell. (note: this is me being optimistic) Hope everyone will be well while I'm gone. |

Update for The Sandman's Kiss: chapter ten. (Thanks go out to mechante fille for humoring me and beta-ing it!) And new fanart in my FP profile. It's a pretty picture of Edan by Wizzan. <3 Really, I should post about stupid, non-update related things once in a while. I've been busy enough this week to have plenty to babble about. Oh, here's something: watch the LoTR RotK making of; Viggo Mortensen kisses Billy Boyd. (Not that I'm really an LotR slash fan, and I'm sure I'm the last person to catch that.) My random quota is fullfilled. ... wait, no it isn't: messenger bags are love. There. Lastly, school starts next week Monday with camp, and classes are the week after that. x.x ... I'm so boring. Go me. |

The Sandman's Kiss has been updated with chapter nine. Ah, progress, I do love you so. (Also, link to the Sandman fanart! <3) So I've have been working on a one-shot that's been in my head forever. I'm about half done, and it should be twenty-some pages with any luck. I refuse to let this one grow and mutate like Sandman has. >> Title and summary as follows. ^^ I originally intended to write it for Valentine's Day, but that didn't happen, so, yeah. Finding Serendip: [Slash] [One-Shot] Malin, the superfluous but defiant fourth son of a cooper, is invited to the Great Emperor’s wedding—as the sacrifice. But when things go awry and Malin becomes the bride instead of the sacrificial lamb, things couldn’t get more complicated. Now I'm off to watch chick flicks. Sweet. |

| So, I went crazy and wrote three chapters in a row for The Sandman's Kiss. Only two more chapters to go after that and then it's done. Yay. Thusly, Sandman has been updated with chapter eight: linky. Also got adorable fanart of Caspar and Alek, which made me very happy, but have yet to hear back from the artist over whether I can share it or not. Over and out. | ||||||||

Just got back from Microbiology "Scholar" Camp! Was much fun. I love lab coats. Sadly, I do not love safety goggles, even if they are sexy. My lab involved bioluminescent bacteria. Initial step was to place fresh seafood in a Petri plate, leave it overnight, and then harvest the glowing spots from the now rotten seafood. Smelled not so great, to say the least. Yum. >> My favorite quote from the camp, made during the opening ceremony: "And then, well, some bacteria got sexy with some other bacteria and ..." Today, before heading home, we made a detour for most of the day. It was lovely. College boys, often shirtless, tied up in ropes and in possession of metal devices and other interesting gear--not to mention an extensive knowledge of using them--getting hot and sweaty exerting themselves. Although, many were quite vocal (i.e. "Yes, yes, yes--no! DAMMIT.") . On occasion, some people don't use protection, but, when I was there, everyone did. And, you know what they say: the only thing better than watching one hot boy doing it is watching two hot boys doing it together. I got to see that last time, but not this time. Man, I love rock climbing. >3 ....what? >D Ahem. Yes, rock climbing at Devil's Lake (in WI). I go every once in a long while with some of my family. Still, I'm bruised as all heck from it. I ache. I did two physical fives (maybe one was a four, dunno), and a six, and just those three about killed me. Yeah, I'm not so great, and I have no muscles, but it was fun. Anyway, the point of this whole crazy, rambling post being that I've been gone since the weekend, so I'm trying to catch up on everything I missed. It might take me a little while to sort through it all. After which I plan to write--the goal is to update either SW or Sandman next. And now it's time to sleep, because I'm exhausted. |

So, finally kicked aside the procrastination and forced myself to write chapter twenty-one of Spontaneity. Hence, it is crappy. Nevertheless, it is uploaded here: Spontaneity Update I've also finally written the first chapter of Love for Ransom, despite efforts not to. I've read it through about twenty-three times so far, each time in lieu of actually posting it. Mrrg. Am currently halfway through my summer reading list for AP English. Too bad what I have left are Vanity Fair, Bonfire of the Vanities, and Return of the Native. The first two are roach-killers--even though I do like Bonfire so far. <3 I liked the French Lieutenant's Woman, too, actually. Only 1,566 more pages to go! *fistpump* ... I foresee brain cramps. Hope everyone is doing well. - Lils |

Well, I'm finally settled in, and I feel like such an utter bum (no school, no job). Thus, I write. Have updated SW once (soon to be twice!), and just today I finally updated The Sandman's Kiss with chapter seven. I can't wait to finish that story. Only a few more chapters to go. XD In the meantime, though, my plot bunnies keep spawning. x.x I know I should update Spontaneity next, but I'm getting overly absorbed in new stories I refuse to post. *sigh* In other news, I saw Howl's Moving Castle last Friday. <3 I really liked it, and the dubbing wasn't bad, either. Also, have induced another friend into liking Loveless. Score. Oh, to be an utter nerd, I got accepted into this three-day Microbiology seminar-thing at UW-La Crosse at the end of July. Nerd camp. Yay. <3 ... I should really change my LJ layout. And that's enough random for now, I suppose. Hope everyone is doing well! - Lilias |
