I sitll smell like a campfire from this weekend. I've never been on such a challenging camping trip in my life. The logistics were just insane. 16 people plus personal equipment, 6 gigantic coolers, 1000 cans of beverage (sodas and beers), 80 pounds of burgers, 10 racks of ribs, 15 pounds of bacon, 20 pounds of sausage, 20 pounds of beef tenderloin, 20 gallons of water, and it all had to be carried 1 mile using 3 rowboats to the campsite in pouring rain. Easily we must have carried over 3 tons worth of gear. Yeah. Not fun. At all. Breakdown was just as bad even though the vast majority of food and drink were gone, but it rained even harder trying to pack up.

So yeah. I'm a little sore and grumpy from this weekend. The weekend itself was fun. I just hope to never ever do that ever again.

So I haven't updated in a while because I've been buried under a mountain of work and just actually been too lazy to say anything. Recent highlights of my life include climbing Mount Monadnock, surf casting in Gloucester for the first time, going through small but annoying car troubles (power steering issue that i thought was fixed but might be back this morning, a noisy air conditioning compressor, a side marker light that won't stay in place, a seatbelt panel that also won't stay in place, etc. etc. etc.) and just getting adjusted to married life, which surprisingly? Is like single life. But I'm married. Which is to say that my life hasn't really changed all that much. I just keep trying to remember not to lose the ring on my left hand and make sure it stays on while doing normal day to day stuff.

Upcoming events? Help my brother in law move this weekend into his new place, and get ready to go camping up in Elizabethtown, NY next weekend.
