Work is annoying.

Current Mood: annoyed
Employers seem to think your whole life should revolve around them, I guess. I left a note saying I couldn't come in earlier than 5pm and what does my manager do? Call and leave a Voicemail saying they really need me and my nail appointment can be done another day. Bullshit. I'm getting my nails done. Yeah, work IS important. It pays the bills and the rent and gives me money. But I've gone in early EVERYTIME I've been called and for once I'd like to just not come in early and be home till 4:45pm. I called back and said I'll be in at 3pm like she asked. At least SHE will be doing the racks.

Soooooo annoying.

13 Question Cosplay Survey

Posted on 2008.05.03 at 09:33
Current Mood: bored
Got this Survey from Ashpuppy on Myspace. I thought I'd post it here.

1) What was your first cosplay?
Actual First: It would have been in 2000 when I was Nick Wolfwood from TRIGUN. But I kinda don't count it because it was for Halloween, not for a Convention.
Otherwise it is The Count of Monte Cristo.

2) How did you first get into cosplay?
I decided when I found out Oregon actually HAD an Anime Convention and one that I could make it to. Then I began preparing The Count costume.

3) How many conventions did you go to in 2007 and which ones?
Kumoricon is the only Convention I can afford to attend.

4)What are your top 3 Anime fav’s?
Patalliro! Gankutsuou and Hellsing.

5) Who is/are your favorite Anime characters?
Bancoran from Patalliro! The Count from Gankutsuou and Alucard from Hellsing.

6) Would you leave your significant other for this character if he/she came to life?
No. Because I *am* the Count and Bancoran. Nyaa.
My significant other is much like Maraihi from Patalliro! and Mercedes from Gankutsuou. She is perfect.

7) What’s your favorite cosplay.
Count of Monte Cristo & Patalliro!

8) What is your DREAM cosplay?
To be the hottest Bancoran ever. And I WILL be.
I'm already the hottest Count. Nyaa.

9) Do you admire any cosplayers?
I admire those who put a lot of work into their cosplays. I don't admire the ones who just buy something off the internet and throw it on. I think Cosplay should have a lot of effort, unless you're running out of time, that is an exception. But I always plan way ahead. I did with my Bancoran and Count outfit.

10) What future cosplays are you planning?
Bancoran from Patalliro! I will be Cosplaying him two days at Kumoricon this year.

11) What is your worst convention experience?
Kumroicon 2005. My first time going. One of my contacts irritated my eye so bad I messed up my make-up getting it out and didn't bring it with me to fix my make-up. So I had to leave early.
Thusly, every year since I bring all I need.

12) What is your favorite?
Kumoricon 2007. Seems like each year it just gets better. And I love it.
I've made new friends and keep in contact with them via email, MSN, etc

13) Last question, any cosplay crushes?
If I did, it'd be my wife if she was able to attend the convention with me. But she isn't really a 'crush'. She is my beloved.

I'm cheered up quite a bit....My Kumoricon friend, Rachael, still has a spot for me in her room. She's a Kumoricon Staff member so I will only be paying her $100 for the room. I've asked her to get me a parking pass for the needed days as well.

I'm still very bummed that my love can't come.....but I am glad I won't have to drive there everyday or take Max. I know this will make her happy for me at least....I'm going to make sure I get lots of footage for her to see and pics.

I've been pretty depressed today.

My beloved won't be making it here for Kumoricon this year, much less even for a visit.
I had to cancel my room at the Double Tree Lloyd Center. I'm asking my friend if she still has a spot for me in her room. She is a Kumoricon Staff member. Otherwise I have to Max it everyday.

I doubt I'll be cosplaying the Count more than one day this year. My beloved not able to come as my Mercedes really breaks my heart. I won't have any real spirit to even dress as the Count.

I've been wanting to cosplay someone easier just for the sake of not taking so much time in the morning and since I won't be at the Hotel. I'm more than aware I'll get less attention as Bancoran from Patalliro (see icon) since he is not going to be known by little if any attendees. I could really look like Bancoran in real life so he is another perfect character for me to be. My hair should be just about the same length as his come late August.

I'll be going to Goodwill on Friday to buy a suit jacket, pants, tie, shirt, vest and trench coat for this cosplay. Gloves I'll be purchasing online from the same store I got my Count gloves from. I will have to color them the color they need to be since the gloves I'm ordering are Nylon.

This posting is for my wife.
I wanna tell her how special she is to me.
How happy she makes me everyday.
We've been through a lot together.
I plan to be by her side forever.
She's the apple of my eye.
The sweetness in my sugar.
She's the tears that I cry.
She's the smile on my face.
Through the good times and the bad, we've always made it.
I really love you.
I just had to say it.

WARNING: BEWARE OF 'XP ANTIVIRUS 2008'!!!!

Posted on 2008.03.31 at 13:27
Current Mood: tired
Ok so it's Sunday and I'm on IE (Internet Explorer) and I'm on a site browsing and it prompts me to download XP Antivirus 2008. Well like most I'm thinking "Okay this must be for Windows XP" and it was just downloaded on my system! Then I realized it was like something I already have and deleted it. (Thought I had, at least.) I rebooted my laptop and there it was on my task bar still, popping up constantly with fake threats of viruses and spyware on my system.
I decided to look up this so-called XP Antivirus 2008 and get some information about it.
Turns out it is the latest scam a lot of people have fallen for and ended up paying $49.95 to have the full version on their system. The Rogue-Ware will constantly try to convince you that you have all these viruses and spyware on your system to get you to purchase the 'full' version, thus, scamming you for your money. I wasn't gonna pay that anyway. And I'm glad I didn't.
Here I was supposed to get to bed by a decent hour to get up at 3am for work and I'm up shortly past 11pm when I *finally* got it out of my system. I ended up purchasing SpyHunter, which is well worth the $29.99 in my opinion. It detected the XP Antivirus but it couldn't remove it. Why? Well, I'd tried to delete the folder myself and it would constantly say ACCESS DENIED, MAKE SURE THE FOLDER IS NOT COPY PROTECTED OR IN USE, etc etc, crap.
I was pissed beyond words. I downloaded Spy Sweeper to see how it worked but it didn't detect as many things as SpyHunter so I chose to purchase the full version of SpyHunter.

Well, more time passed and I still couldn't get rid of this. I was looking up on forums reading what other people had to say. After much failure, I got the answer from someone's post on a forum, giving their success to getting XP Antivirus off of their system.

If you have run into this situation, here is HOW to get rid of it.

1. Type 'regedit' in the run command.
2. open 'hkey current user' and look for xpantivirus, it you don’t see it go to edit and to find and type it in. It was hidden in this area so that is the best way to find the dirty little sucker.
Then delete that file
3. Type 'msconfig' in the run command, then go to startup tab and uncheck ‘xpa’.
4. Type C:/program files and find xpantivirus and delete it there.
Go to the search engine in start and look in all files including HIDDEN Files.
(I did this and it found some. So make SURE you do. Simply unchecking the Xpa and finding the file folder will not delete everything XP Antivirus 2008 left behind.)

THIS WILL WORK! Even downloading a spyware software won't get rid of it. I know this from my experience last night! Although I'm happy I purchased SpyHunter anyway. It's a good tool.
I also found out, thanks to SpyHunter, that the Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware called 'STOPSIGN' (Also called 'EAccelleration') is also a fake program . And I paid $99.00 for that over a year ago. The whole time it wasn't protecting me at all. I also got that deleted off my system.

Pullips TaeYang Boys arrived!

Posted on 2008.03.29 at 13:48
OMG they are so gorgeous. Adrien's eyes are actually violet, unlike in the picture I posted in my last posting. Takumi has these dark dark purple eyes with holographic sparkles in them.
The pictures just do not do these dolls justice.

Can't wait to get them both. Valley of The Dolls told me they will be shipped together on Thursday 3/27. My wifey wants one so I'll try and get her one for her Birthday this year. These seem to be dolls within a really affordable budget!
The second one is the Renaissance Knight "Cavalie" model. He's gorgeous! God his hair is so pretty and LONG! Gonna call him Adrien. He's going to be Takumi's French lover. xB

I'm probably gonna end up collecting a bunch of these cuties. ^^
They are coming from http://www.thevalleyofthedolls.com/home.php
which is the first US Pullip dollshop. They are located in Los Angeles, CA. ^_^ Check out their awesome site.

Yay for Delf EL.

Finally got my LUTS DELF EL ordered this past Tuesday. I'd received my Federal Tax Return so I was excited to get home from an opening shift that day and get him ordered. I just wish they had the dolls with face-ups ready made to ship out but oh well. It'll be well worth the wait. I thought I had a name picked out but I'm still thinking on it. Probably will come up with a name when he actually arrives and I get a good look at him. A name will come easier then.

My honey has gotten me an Orientdoll tiny. He'll be coming in a belated Christmas package and I'm excited. I'm hoping Delf will get to meet him when he arrives. We'll see.
Orientdolls are so tiny and so adorable.

In other news, there's not too much going on. Felt pretty tired today. Napped late....dunno when I'll go to sleep for the night. Probably soon.
Was hoping to talk to beloved before bed but her lunch at work will be later than usual. So I dunno.

Either way I'll miss her. :(

This has to be one of my most favorite photographs of me as myself..."Hakushaku", The Count from GANKUTSUOU.

In this picture I wanted to capture one of the moments in the anime where *I* say "TO THE COLLOSEUM!" I am posting it here for my beloved and my loyal fans.
Thank you for your support.
See you all at Kumoricon 2008.

Things seem to be looking up at my place of employment. Our old decorator has returned for the 3rd time and hopefully to stay and she is also assistant manager. Basically she will be the decorator and I am the back-up decorator as well as opener, closer and mid-shift coverage so this enables me more hours which is what I need to live comfortably and save money for my debt settlement in a couple years as well as for Kumoricon in late August.

We don't need another person hired and the food manager assured me today she will keep things as they are and borrow the deli girl to help us out when needed.

Also a co-worker told me the Federal Government will be issuing tax payers a check in May/June of this year. Apparently they feel it will help boost the Economy by sending out money to tax payers for them to spend. I'm hardly against the idea. I'm sure any tax payer could use the extra money in their pockets for whatever reason.
She said it was on the news. I hardly watch news so I seem to miss good news like that. Kinda like in December....I had no idea the State was issuing kicker checks to tax payers so one day I checked the mail box and there was a check. Far as I know this will be the first time the Federal Government will be issuing checks. Only people who file will receive them from what she told me.

Not much new going on with me around this time...Save for a few things.

I am going to the doctor next month for my check-up and wondering if I'm getting Acid Reflux.
I hope not. I don't want to be on prescription meds I can't afford. I had bad indigestion last week on Wednesday and had chest heaviness for 2 days after...so I made the appointment.

I'm still waiting for my Federal Tax Return. Once it gets here I can order my Luts Delf EL. So that is something to look forward to.

I feel bad for misunderstanding my wife last night, thusly, she was crying when I called her.
I mistook some things she said as nagging or bitching and I still feel horrible for it.

Our old cake decorator, Barbie, has returned finally as the assistant manager in the bakery.
I *was* taking the job but it does not pay for more for the heacache involved so I said I didn't want it. I don't deal with stress too well.

I wanted to walk to work today to visit Barbie and get my excersise, but I'm not feeling too great today. I have some discomfort in my head.

Lastly, I want my wife to know I love her very much and she is in my thoughts each hour of the day...

Because of my wife I began enjoying Cherry Coke. She has a mad love for it and thusly, I wrote and dedicated this perhaps silly but cute poem to her:

You inspire me to drink Cherry coke
It's really no joke

Delicious cherry flavor playing on the tip of my tongue
It makes me feel so young

Cherry coke makes me think of you
So I'll drink Cherry coke when I'm feeling blue

Cherry coke
Taste refreshing
I think of Puddle
My mind goes rushing

You inspire me to drink Cherry coke

Well, I awoke to find it snowing this morning. There'd been talk of it snowing today and it's really pretty. The first day of December begins with it being white. It's awesome.
It did snow a little the other day but it was gone a couple hours later since the temperature rose. In other news, I called my beloved wife on the phone at work and used a balloon and drank in the helium and let our kids hear me sound like one of Santa's Elves and they were just laughing. It made me all fuzzy inside, giving our children something they like so much.
