Unfortunately, MySpace and PureVolume have a maximum upload size so therefore, my 15+ megabyte song "8-Bit Orchestra in G# (Four Movements)" cannot be uploaded to those locations. Fortunately (for those who know about torrents), the song plus the extended version of "Bowser's In Your Closet" can be downloaded via torrent at these locations:
Mininova.org : here TorrentSpy.com : here Piratebay.org : here
Download, leech, seed, comment, etc etc

Disc two During the recording of disc two, I decided to scrap all the recorded material and start new with a brand new concept that will remain unnannounced until the release of the album. All I'm going to say is that it's still only going to be a solo disc, but I'm going to bend the "solo" rule a little bit and have a few guest singers and various other......um...things. Oh, and the only other thing I will say is, a few animal friends will be joining me (intrigued? You bet your ass you are).
Thanks babies!

PS: Remember, the debut DJ CookieMan LP "CD-R Disco" will be bundled with the new Fifth Street Blues album. ::smooch::

[04 Jan 2005|10:41pm] |
"Just because it's useless doesn't mean we should throw it away..."
Do you hear it? Do you hear them? It's 12 'o clock & the birds are chirping They always sing until they realize they are Heading towards the telephone wires They can glides so easily between them but there is always a few who decide to take a seat See, they know that once the have their feet Planted on one wire, they can't touch another I wish we could learn a lesson from the birds Once you have yourself planted in something, it's best not to try and take on too much or your likely to forget when you're grounded to, and once you forget, you just might send yourself sailing to the ground, burnt to a crisp. Chirp. Chirp.

| A Scarecrow's Day in the Sun/March on Soldier |
[04 Jan 2005|10:35pm] |
A scarecrows job is to scare away birds Well I guess there are worse things in the world Then playing the part of a monster outside Made of straw and clothes that hide Human flesh or burlap skin Smooth to the touch but capable of sin And now I feel like I'm up on a post Guarding the corn and lines of tomatoes And I used to be good at what I used to do Without moving a muscle, I'd guard the food But now I'm lying on my side Straw pouring out my eyes Skyscrapers don't really touch the sky It's just another man-made lie Just like human language We speak thru silence and anguish Well thru this A-chord melody And the way the notes just leave The speakers as it flows can you hear the anguish and the sorrow ------------------------------------------- Well march on you soldier you had no time to hold her Thru your metal armor You were pierced by the daughter Of Venus & Summer and now you're layin' slaughtered. Well march on scarecrow You can get back on your post But no one's restuffed you And your heart hasn't been sown to The inside of your chest No scar hidden by your black-cloth vest Well I guess it's amazing How a soldier and a scarecrow are the same thing Sometimes they're sent to fight and sometimes they fall 'n hide Well now get back up on that post And I guess what really hurts the most Is when you are sown back together/Before everything fills out of your cover And just about everything in your head Falls to the ground Just like before you were found Well march on soldier Look on scarecrow I'll mail your letter I'll make sure to show the sower.

"I'm writing you this letter from a basement down the hall Where the door is always closed but there's enough room to crawl Under the barricade, under the wall I'm sorry I haven't written you In such a long while, but the winter here is brutal, I've lost just about all My fingers, but I sowed them back on. I opened up the window to let the breeze inside But all I got comin' in was snow in my eyes Just like all those songs Somethin' goes in, comes out, Drips on your tongue (Well, anyways...) Sitting on the back porch Like a broken crucifix I hung on there gasping for air, or at least a drip of carbon, from warm tail pipe Remember that evening? Well, so do I. Well, depending on who you ask The puzzles falling apart But I keep on finding pieces in couch cushions and even in the yard So I save them, in a tiny coffee jar What used to hold ground up beans Now holds whole parts (Well,) I'll you this I don't laugh like I used to do And being honest, the sun ain't as bright As when you showed it to me Lenseless binoculars But hey, what's new? At least this fall it didn't hurt Well, I'm sure you heard the news on channel 8 or channel 5 There's a new weathergirl Telling me just when I Need an umbrella, or a rain coat She's on every station, don't need a remote Yes, she treats me well But I don't love her, that I can tell But I guess it's too early To really even see If she's as good as you were Of predicting for me When the rain would fall to bundle up or wear nothing at all My pen is runnin' our of ink So I guess I'll make it quick Just exactly why this letter Is being sent with a tape Of nursery rhymes Of a child's laughter and raining eyes. Because the innocense Makes it easier to say Just why it seems To get farther every day But I'll make it better I'll send a band-aid with my letter I'll give it to the postman Ride his horse down to 22nd So I guess I'll close my writing With a string of letters or a line Of nonsense that's been sorted from my ever-bending mind "uoy evol I" or something like that I guess if you look at in a mirror It won't look so bad." P.S. "My train leaves at 2'o clock I'll be in the middle car The sign's still sitting Next to my heart Just thought you'd like to know.."

[07 Dec 2004|07:20pm] |
One time my friends Were doing donuts in a parking lot Holding a paper bag The moon was shot Travelin' in circles 'round a blacktop Never heard the tire blow Slammed on the brakes Flew threw the window Glass was all over a broken floor It was wiped clean by rain a week before we buried them. One time my cousin was runnin' Red lights flashing behind him Street signs passed by Sweat burned his eyes A ghost was sittin' in the other seat Never saw that metal pole Closed his eyes, hit the window Shattered easily like a broken vase A ceramic dream or his frozen face Water or blood Potting soil or streetside mud One time I was laying on my lover's bed I was baskin' in her glow Till the phone rang From down below Said, "Don't bother waking up." So I sat up Cried in my coffee cup Felt a blow so deep inside Hit my heart, went down my spine Even though the truth is straight It was stolen and bent that day Bend my friends Bend my cousin So I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my soul to keep As long as I can keep a broken vase a rainy day.

when i wake up in the mornin', i'll bring in the orange tree i'll even make you some pancakes and a pot of black coffee and if the phone rings i will tell them that you're busy because when the moonlight claims the starlight it'll be time for you to leave. when the windows on the corner of the complex close to fit the day The garden on the edge will be watered on the way The neighbors like the butterflies don't come out till their ok because when the door shuts down the hallway it's time for you to say.. "Hello, goodbye and so long, I've had enough of this. I can't stand up to shake your hand, i extend but always miss. I get out of bed to start the day, and the blue I try to kiss, but if the window isn't covered the sunlight will always sneak in."

These are (almost) the rest of the songs that were written on those humid, isolated July days..
"Chapter 9: A Thief in the Bathroom Stall" There's a stopwatch in his hand And a drink in the other A small tip in the cup near the edge Makin' money to give to his dyin' brother Or on Tuesdays, his dyin' mother Because there's a thief in the bathroom stall.
A crown of glass covers his head Resting upon a nest of black leaves Midnight comes to light the alleyway Where he plants plastic bags like trees Givin' what he's got to all he sees Because there's a thief in the bathroom stall.
Kitchen cabinets filled with overcoats Moving a table sailin like a boat "Don't move a muscle.." he said Pluck pluck each little note Of that tiny living room phone Because there's a thief in the bathroom stall.
*I never finished this one because I lost the imagery in my head but I guess this is how it will stay.*
"Chapter 10: It's like Watching a Movie Backwards" A hallway Down to the right A hallway Down to the left A hallway Standing in the middle Always.
Livin' in cardboard boxes Hopin' to be sent off one day The address is scratched off "Go away, away" Always.
A sun-lit midnight is a sight to see Two times it's been written And two times it went away Went away away Always.
"Can you spare change for a cup of tea?" A cup of change can taste just as good Shoelaces line the bottom of the bridge Easy to break away, away Always.
Tiny tiny tiny shot of caffeine Still a drug A drug A drug Drugged-out midnights always end End and away, away Always.
"Always," said Mother Nature, "and always it shall be."
::Chapter 12 has been ommited until I can find it..::
"Chapter 13: The 52nd Dream" ::We'll save that one for the show on Friday::

"Chewin' on Socks" When the door would open You'd swing by the way The livin' rooms another place for her to stay
Layin' on bedsheets Leavin' behind Pieces of a black blanket covering your fine Soft Coat.
So lie still This could be the end Old Friend We've had a good run, outside and above It's like chewin' on socks
::more to come::
