If a friend asked you for some new music recommendations, what would you suggest?

  • I would recommend me own shit. Other artists of today, most of their music sucks, but maybe some 70's or 80's music would suffice.
  • Посоветую послушать DJ Doberman! Вот уж кто на меня произвёл впечатление в последнее время!!!! Делает очень жёсткую музыку, но при этом танцевальную - хоть в клуб, хоть в ухо!!!!
  • 1. Passion Pit - Better Things
    2. The Very Best - Dinosaur On The Ark
    3. The Wombats - Moving To New York (Kyte Remix)
    4. Marina And The Diamonds - I Am Not A Robot
    5. 65daysofstatic - Radio Protector
    6. Laura Marling - Ghosts
    7. The Courteeners - Not Nineteen Forever
    8. Loudon Wainwright III - The Swimming Song
    9. The Hold Steady - Citrus (it's their only good song though in my opinion)

It's so easy to answer this question if you're only thinking about your current music.

If that question was about favourite music of all time, I'd be stumped!

  • Depends on the friend. I mean, I have an appreciation for all kinds of music, but I tend to listen to more pop/easy listening stuff on a regular basis... and show tunes. I'm a sucker for Broadway cast recordings. And if someone doesn't really like any of that, it can be difficult to make reccomendations on that.
Hmmm.... I'd have to say I'd probably go with Jason Mraz or Kate Voegele if you want clever song lyrics. For good music in general, I'd go with the old stand by of The Beatles or Michael Jackson. Want a great voice? Josh Groban or Idina Menzel. Great storytelling music? That would be more country music, like George Straight or Reba Mcintyre. But, if I was just going to recommend someone I like I'd go with Taylor Swift... or maybe Emily Osment. But again, that's really up to your style.

  • try this. this is a unique form of Turkish music. its full melancholy. you dont need lyrics... if you do, just let me know though.
  • Oooo, it depends on who the friend is. I'd most definatly recomend something like Atreyu, The Spill Canvas or The Kooks. I think they'd be the first 3 to spring to mind then I guess others like Bullets + Octane, Blink 182, The Kings Blue,  Papa Roach, A Day to Remember, Blue October, Enter Shikari, Story of the Year, Buck Cherry, Skillet or Trapt would be a good choice too. idk >.<
  • PARAMORE! they are so talented. not to mention very nice and down to earth. they've made three cds already (all we know is falling, RIOT!,  and The Final RIOT!). they're so great. :)
  • MUSIC! My favorite of all time subject. I'm always looking for recommendations myself. So, drop me a line if you have any bands you'd like me to check out. I like all kinds of music.
