LARGE tea with 1 Splenda and milk, 1 pc. of multi-grain bread toasted and a tsp. of peanut butter spread thinly on top. Unless we're camping. Then it's a fried egg and turkey bacon, plus tea!! Or pancakes with a little strawberry jelly!
Not sweet. Not savory. I start the morning like this...
Decaf iced latte, no sugar, extra stong, with plenty of whole milk. Skip the straw. Served in my favorite glass. Yes, iced. Even in winter.
That would be one of my idiosyncrasies.
I don't like to cook breakfast because it makes a mess first thing in the morning, and then I have to clean it up.
So, I go for what ever is quick and easy and healthy.
Mabye a protein smoothie with strawberries.
Easy to make. Easy to clean up.

Wow, how is this even a question? Chocolate milk, coffee, PANCAKES, muffins, bagels, waffles, granola, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal.....mmmmmm!!!! My philosphy is start the day off with something sweet. You'll be in a better mood, and be eating healthier too(most of the time). I mean, oatmeal or bacon?? Hmmm....strong heart, or heart attack. You can decide, but for now I'm going to help myself to some homemade waffles with strawberries and cream and maple syrup.
Breakfast is a broken meal. Look at those options: no one should be considering shoving sugar down their throats at 7 in the morning. Your only other option, though, is to risk a coronary, as every savory option is grease-based - home fries, scrambled eggs, omelets (the last two shouldn't be, but in the Mom & Pop eateries, forget about it), bacon, sausage... Being a vegetarian, I can't even eat the last two.
Also: too much bread. Toast, pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, muffins, English muffins, danishes - no one wants to eat a loaf of bread in the morning either.
We need to reconsider the meal. Andy Rooney once suggested soup as a substitute, and while it's not an ideal choice for those on the go, it's a step toward something better.
I prefer "savory" at the breakfast table, but then again, I prefer leftovers and salad to traditional breakfast foods.
I also like breakfast foods such as buckwheat waffles for dinner.
I find myself asking this question time after time when I'm about to order breakfast... Decisions are so hard sometimes!
The warm, savory goodness of scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, and hashbrowns or homefries... or the alternative... The sweet, dripping with warm syrup; covered pancakes or waffles...
There's always french toast, cereal, toast, fruit, and the list could go on and on... Breakfast is one of my favorite meals!
You have to go with what your craving at the time!! That's the only answer I can come up with at this current time!
If I could eat anything right now, it would be (don't make fun of it!) hashbrowns covered in ketchup... that sounds so good right now!!
I could also go for something sweet... hmm.

Полезной в наше время бывает только диета после операции на аппендицит. А вкусным - только то, что вредно. Поэтому мой компромис: быстро.
Согласен, дилемма вечная, поэтому её раскрывать смысла нет, всё равно здесь действует принцип, такой же как и в поговорке ,, Душа хотела романтики, а попа приключений.... победила попа,, ))))
