I never feel powerful. I know I am a sinner saved by the almighty power of God. In in me is only weakness and I need to be strengthened in the inner man by the powerful workings of divine grace-experience the power of God the Holy Spirit. I want to experience the power of the resurrected Christ. I remember these words of the apostle Paul, "and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places" Ephesians 1:19,20.
Visited Church of the Highlands today. Wow!! Left empowered.
What makes me feel powerful is the sin of pride. My constant prayer is for the Lord to grant me humility.
"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud." Proverbs 16:18,19
I feel most powerful when I allow the words of God to penetrate the depths of my heart.
Believe God's word and power more than you believe your own feelings and experiences. -Samuel Rutherford

What makes Me feel powerful is being served by slaves. Indeed, I came to post a piece I wrote for one of the web-groups to which I belong, discussing---sort of---this very issue.
I like walking three and one-half miles per hour in the dead of morning (three o'clock). The temp is slightly above freezing, but My face is dripping with perspiration. People see My T-shirt and ask "Are you cold?" I say "No.", when I want to say, "Not yet, the sweat just does not dry quickly enough!". Well, I am just not nice, some times!
I like running down paved hills. I did this when I lived in San Francisco. I used to watch the sunrise, then run down the hill, through the tennis (and elevennis) court, and then down Sixteenth Street as quickly as I could.
The idea was to go as fast as was possible without losing control. If a muscle went bad, I stepped on a rock, a calculation was off a bit, My visual system had an error, or whatever, then I would find Myself sanding My nose off onto the concrete below Me.
I would then run across Market Street. I did this on Sundays, so there was very little chance of cars. Little is far from zero. Yes, I know this, thank you for mentioning it!
I solve problems, even when I have no idea how. I learn extremely quickly, and work very quickly. Other people with equal lack of experience haven't got a chance. Yes, that is power, too.
Then, of course, I am one hundred percent Dominant. That is a kind of power, and I enjoy it very much. My Dominance is part of how I am built, so I had better like it!
My skill with electronic design is another type of power.
