Which book do you find yourself regularly rereading, and why?

  • Well this is pretty late... But since I'm up anyways, I would have to go with Kindred, by Octavia Butler. The book was so wonderful. I guess the main reason I liked, no loved the book so much would be the mixture of a twisted lovestory along with the scientific or mystical plot of the entire book. The added reference to historical themes was so wonderfully calculated and the book fails to bore me every time I read it. It's funny when I first took the book out for a class I was not enthusiast at all but now I'm so glad I read that book.

  • Не люблю перечитывать, второй раз уже не так интересно, заранее знаешь чем все закончится. Хотя Мастера и Маргариту  читала 2 раза.
  • I'm always digging around first aid books, backwoods medical journals, herbal medicine journals, and wilderness living books. They're a wealth of information, which are still very relevant in modern metropolitan lives. I have both digital and print copies of Carla Emery's The Encyclopedia of Country Living, which I tend to read more than any other book. However, of all media, I dip into the archives of Backwoods Home Magazine the most. Most of the knowledge in these books, make for great contingency plans, when things go wrong or something important needs to get done. That why I'm usually the go-to guy, in any group.

  • I dont really read but I love the book "A child called it"

  • I reread the Lord of the Rings trilogy regularly. I just love that book so much, its very creative, interesting, and its filled with suspense.

  • I frequently find myself rereading Mario Puzo's The Godfather because each time I read it I discover another layer to a character or I see an event from a new perspective. It is definitely on my top 10 list!

  •      The book[s] I really find myself re-reading, is the Mortal Instruments series.  (and soon to be the Infernal Devices, after the 2nd book comes out). The book is a really great story, and I find that I can put myself in place of Clary Fray just to get away from the world for a little while. If my life could become that book, I'd love it.

  • I realize that this answer might be over used but Harry Potter.

I first read Harry Potter when I was in first grade. I was the kid everyone picked on and no one wanted to be friends with. When I first found the Harry Potter books, it was on accident. We were on our weekly trip to the library with my class and there it was. So I picked it up and began to read. Immediately i was hooked. Here I was, the kid with no friends that had discovered my sanctuary in a book. Hogwarts became my school and Harry became my best friend besides my twin. As the years went on I never drifted away from Harry and found myself repeatedly reading the series.

The Harry Potter book series became my family and friend, my escape from reality, my safe place, my home.
