  • "Another Tricky Day" and "I'm Free" from the Who; "Good Times, Bad Times" from Led Zeppelin, and "Lady Stardust" from the genius...Bowie.
  • The first song I would put on the soundtrack would be We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands by The Academy Is... to foreshadow the complete mess I will become over the course of eighteen years from the day I was born. The chorus (Now we've got a big, big mess on our hands tonight)... it's self-explanitory. [Rest Of My Life by The Early November] The song I would use for my entire middle school experience would be Crimes by The Blood Brothers. Because all three years were basically a crime. "We're scrapped valentines, we're tangerine rinds. We're crimes, crimes, crimes, crimes, crimes." It wouldn't make sense to anyone who hasn't heard the song. The summer of my Sophomore year is Undone - The Sweater Song (If you want to destroy my sweater/hold this thread as I walk away/watch me unravel, I'll soon be naked/lying on the floor, I've come undone.) Because I was seriously coming undone by that point. As a joke i'd say Rehab by Amy Winehouse would be the track for my junior year, its not really funny but its pretty self-explanatory. For all those times where i'm walking alone thinking about how i wanted things to be...Boats And Birds by Gregory And The Hawk. For the people that have given me problems and backstabs and lies...Burn it Down - by Avenged Sevenfold For my so called love...Thats So You by The Rocket Summer When my movie[life] ends...Mad World by Gary Jules
  • I love music and I love my life...sooo here goes a little bit of creative writing :) i wonder if sound clips can be included..hm
ITALICS BOLD is where you'll find my explanations..

    January 1, 1985-
Auld Lang Syne- "is usually sung each year at midnight on New Years Day and signifies the start of a new year" (thank you wiki) If it wasn't clear, I was born on this date and thought Auld Lang Syne was fitting since I have no idea what other song was sung. And I like the lyrics

    Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
    Should old acquaintance be forgot,
    and auld lang syne ?

    CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
    for auld lang syne,
    we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
And surely I’ll buy mine !
And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.

    CHORUS

We two have run about the slopes,
    and picked the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
    since auld lang syne.

    CHORUS

We two have paddled in the stream,
    from morning sun till dine ;
But seas between us broad have roared
    since auld lang syne.

    CHORUS

And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
    And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
    for auld lang syne.

    CHORUS

    Morrow, OH
The Train to Morrow- performed by the Muppets
This song is for the many time's I spent fishing, camping, frog catching, canoing, etc. in Morrow, OH and the inside joke that I was going to Morrow tomorrow :) It confused a few friends and I hadn't heard of this song until 3 years ago. Quite clever..who knew a little place like Morrow would make a great song, performed by the muppets on the muppet show no less!?

    TRAVELLER (Jim Henson):
I started on a journey just about a year ago,
To a little town called "Morrow" in the state of Ohio
I'd never been much of a traveller and I really didn't know,
That Morrow was the hardest place I'd ever try to go.

So I went down to the station for my ticket and applied
For tips regarding Morrow not expecting to be guide
Said I, "My friend, I'd like to go to Morrow and return,
No later than tomorrow for I haven't time to burn."

    Said he to me,

    CLERK:

Now let me see if I have heard you right
You'd like to go to Morrow and return tomorrow night
You should have gone to Morrow yesterday and back today,
For the train that goes to Morrow is a mile upon its way
If you had gone to Morrow yesterday now don't you see,
You could have gone to Morrow and returned today at 3
For the train today to Morrow if the schedule is right,
Today it gets to Morrow and returns tomorrow night.

    TRAVELLER:

Said I, "I'd like to go to Morrow so can I go today,
And get to Morrow by tonight if there is no delay?"

    CLERK:

"Well, well," I said to him, and I've got no more to say,
"Can you get anywhere tomorrow and get back again today?"

    TRAVELLER:

Said I, "I guess you know it all, but kindly let me say,
How can I get to Morrow if I leave this town today?"
    Said he,

    CLERK:
You can not go to Morrow anymore today,
For the train that goes to Morrow is a mile upon its way.

    TRAVELLER:
I was so disappointed, I was mad enough to swear
The train had gone to Morrow and it left me standing there
The man was right in telling me,

    CLERK:
    You are a howling jay
    You cannot go to Morrow...

    TRAVELLER:

Well I guess in town I'll stay.

    FIDDLER (Frank Oz):

    I don't get it.

    Girl With The Golden Touch

"Golden Touch"- Razorlight::: I always liked this song and then the lyrics "oh she's changed" eventually stood out. I guess each to their own in what message they take out of this song. But that particular line I've heard before from someone I thought was a friend or used to be a friend. I don't know how I changed, it wasn't even like I changed because we hadn't seen each other since high school, it was midway through sophomore year of college! "It's a mystery Charlie Brown!"

I know a girl with the golden touch
She's got enough, she's got too much
But I know, you wouldn't mind
You could have it all if you wanted
You could have it all if it mattered so much
But then all they know is how to put you down
When you're there, they're your friend
But then when you're not around
    They say, "Oh, she's changed"
    We know what they mean
Well they mean, they're just jealous
Because they never do the things
That they wish that they could do so well

That kind of girl, yes she's never alone
You leave a thousand messages on her phone
But you know you never get through
And you could have it all if you wanted, girl
You could have it all if it matters to you

But then all they know is how to put you down
When you're there, they're your friend
But then when you're not around
    They say, "Oh, she's changed"
Oh we know what that means
Well it means they're just jealous
But they'll never do the things
That they wish that they could do so well

I saw my girl with the golden touch
Give me a taste but not too much
I never listen to the words of fools
    Well, well, hey, you
You won't get it that way
But don't ask for too much
You're gonna need your golden touch

Because all they know is how to put you down
When you're there, they're your friend
And then when you're not around
    They say, "Oh, she's changed"
And we know what that means
Well it means they're just jealous
But they'll never do the things
That they wish that they could do so well

    Christmas is All Around You
I'm dreaming of a White Christmas::: Caroling in the car :) Switching the singing roles and cracking up laughing..never gets old. haha

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
    Where the treetops glisten,
    and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

    Missing Friends!

I'm all out of Love- Air Supply
This is for the last year of college and now missing my friends! you know who you are! :P

I'm lying alone with my head on the phone
Thinking of you till it hurts
I know you hurt too but what else can we do
    Tormented and torn apart
I wish I could carry your smile and my heart
For times when my life feels so low
It would make me believe what tomorrow could bring
When today doesn't really know, doesn't really know

    Chorus:
I 'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you
I know you were right believing for so long
I 'm all out of love, what am I without you
I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong

I want you to come back and carry me home
Away from this long lonely nights
I'm reaching for you, are you feeling it too
Does the feeling seem oh so right
And what would you say if I called on you now
And said that I can't hold on
There's no easy way, it gets harder each day
Please love me or I'll be gone, I'll be gone

    Chorus

Oh, what are you thinking of?
    What are you thinking of?
Oh, what are you thinking of?
    What are you thinking of?

    Chorus(3x)

    To be continued...
  • I sort of picture my life as being a long MUSICAL, so the list is kinda long, but still lacks several of the key pieces to my puzzle. Those moments I'm missing I either haven't found a song to match to, or perhaps a song hasn't been written for yet. Then there is the memories that haven't been made yet, you can't pick music for the unknown. So for now, this is the soundtrack of my life.

  • The first song I would put on the soundtrack would be We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands by The Academy Is... to foreshadow the complete mess I will become over the course of sixteen years from the day I was born. The chorus (Now we've got a big, big mess on our hands tonight)... it's self-explanitory.

The song I would use for my entire middle school experience would be Crimes by The Blood Brothers. Because all three years were basically a crime. "We're scrapped valentines, we're tangerine rinds. We're crimes, crimes, crimes, crimes, crimes." It wouldn't make sense to anyone who hasn't heard the song. Fat and Alone by Pencey Prep would be on there, too, because I was fat and alone in middle school.

My freshman year in high school would definitely be either Knife Blood Nightmare by Aiden (Gone, with the stitches in her heart left out/a silhouette that just won't heal/and dying in your arms tonight), or I'm Not Okay by My Chemical Romance (I'm not okay/I'm not okay/I'm not okay/You wear me out). No, actually I take that back. Headfirst For Halos. Headfirst for Halos by My Chemical Romance would most definitely be the Freshman Year track on my soundtrack, for reasons I will not disclose. (Let's go back to the middle of the day that starts it all/and I can't begin to let you know just what I'm feeling/and now the red ones make me fly/and the blue ones help me fall/and I think I'll blow my brains against the ceiling)

The summer of my freshman year is Undone - The Sweater Song (If you want to destroy my sweater/hold this thread as I walk away/watch me unravel, I'll soon be naked/lying on the floor, I've come undone.) Because I was seriously coming undone by that point.

For my first experience with love, I'd use Why Bother by Weezer, because I didn't know he liked me back when I first met him. The song goes "Why bother? It's gonna hurt me. It's gonna kill when you desert me." My love-life prior to this was pathetic at best.

When I finally started dating said loved one, there would probably be two tracks, both by The Used - Lunacy Fringe and I Caught Fire.
Because I love him to death. And Lunacy Fringe pretty much explains how I was at the time. I still am kinda like that, actually. (I'm so far gone now/I've been running on empty/I'm so far gone now/do you wanna take me on?)

Right now, I'd say my theme song was Spit Shine Your Black Clouds by The Blood Brothers, or I've reverted back to Undone - The Sweater Song.

For the day I get married, I'd put the song White Wedding, but the Aiden cover. Not because it's got "wedding" in the title, but because it's so beautifully ironic. And I like Aiden better than Billy Idol. Also Demolition Lovers by My Chemical Romance, because I have the feeling that I know who I'm getting married to eventually and that's how I feel about him. (I'm trying/I'm trying/to let you know just how much you mean to me/as snow falls on desert sky/until the end of everything.)

The day I die, the song would be This Is The Best Day Ever by My Chemical Romance. Just because of the title. I'd like them to play Helena at my funeral.
  • The soundtrack to my life would be an amazing mix of Rock, Country, Soul, Blues and Rap/Hip-Hip (for those special moments. *nudge nudge*) I think the first song would have to be Born Country By Alabama. Because after all I am a southerner and I love it. There is nothing better to me than some hard work and fun after hours.  ^^ After that I think the next song would be a rock song, most likely Prayer Of the Refugee, because I can take care of myself and there is always a better time that can exceed the one that I am currently going through. I am a strong, independant young woman and I don't need anyone to hold me up. I can stand my own ground. Then definetly Down With The Sickness because it empowers you with it words and makes the adrenaline and pride flow through your veins like fish in a sea. At least to me it does.  When you listen to this song, you feel amazing and can really relate to what they are saying.  Then I would have to put I'm in a Hurry by Alabama, for my teen years. Because at first I wanted to rush through them, then I realized that I need to slow down and make the RIGHT decisions instead of the COOL ones.  And eventually the things that were fun, became annoyingly expected. I got soo good at what I did... Then for when I was coming out of my stupid times I would have to have Changes and Be Somebody by 3 doors down. Because it really shows what I'm doing and how I feel. But If those songs were there then I would have to play Some People Change by Montgomery Gentry because well, I changed against all the odds and all the statistics I have changed myself for the better. And when I get out of high school my main song will most likely be Frontline by Pillar. Because I will be going into the military, and I will be on the frontlines and everyone will either be bound together or be torn apart. But we should all become one unbreakable team And for when I fall in love again (if i choose to do so) Paralyzer by Finger Eleven, because when I fell in love the first time I was stuck to the ground I couldn't move. It seemed impossible... And then of course Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson. haha . Because I have never been the one to sit around and play with barbies and be a girly girl. When other girls wanted to be ballerinas and were playing with their barbies. I was playing Soldiers with the boys, rolling around in the mud.  And for heart break first song I would pick would be Cigarettes by The Wreckers. Because as a teenage smoker, I know i'm not going to quit and when I'm heart broken and hurt.  I will definetly be taking my pick up out for a ride down a dirty, muddy road heading to my dads house. But at the same time I know I'll be fine by myself. Because like I said. I'm strong. I'm independant. And I'm the one and only person who can pull myself out of messes that I got myself into. And at the end Of my life I would like Almost Home by Craig Morgan to be played. It's a beautiful song that can make you cry if you understand it correctly..
