neither, really. i'm more inclined to the latter, but that doesn't mean i'd do it...honestly, if i ever plan to go somewhere, i'd hope to stay there for at least a semi-permanent amount of time. that is to say, i'd like to live there for real, not just visit and learn. that's probably my innate aversion to tourists who are essentially temporary residents, whereas permanent residents can really claim a city or neighborhood to be their own.
Hmmm, both? I would love achance to relax and enjoy a few good books, but I don't like people touching me (such as massages) so that kind of pampering won't work. But the best vacations I have had involved exploring new places with my husband, so I think the learning, adventure and education of exotic cities really appeals to me also.
