Paint the town green

Do you plan on celebrating St. Patrick's Day? If so, how? What memories and feelings do you associate with this holiday?

  • By seeing John Mayer! I met up with the girls at No Mas! Cantina and had the most delicious margaritas & fish tacos and then headed to Phillips Arena for a decent John Mayer show. He even pulled out my old favorite (and rarity), St. Patrick's Day. I did wear a green scarf most of the day and wore a sweater that night with green stripes. However, the day after I had more fun when I saw David Ryan Harris, Live & Electric @ Smith's Olde Bar.
  • At me association only with a film.
  • Adopt one today!Adopt one today!Adopt one today!Adopt one today!Adopt one today! I celebrated by cooking a corned beef brisket, vegeatble and cabbage in my crockpot. We did not go out, because it is amateur night around here, and that just sucks.
  • No, I have no plans to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I am not of Irish descent, so the day does not hold any special meaning. I have also never celebrated it, so I don't associate any memories with this particular holiday.

  • Normally, we celebrate St. Patrick's Day by going over to our neighbors for a dinner of Corned Beef and Cabbage etc, unfortunately this year my husband had to work on a car and we were not able to attend our neighbor's dinner. I dressed my son and I in green for our personal celebration, and obviously because it'd tradition. My family never celebrated St. Patrick's day growing up so I really have no memories, and I feel kind of empty because though I am Irish, I know virtually nothing about my heritage. I hope that in years to come, my husband and neighbor's being Irish, I am able to learn about myself and my heritage through the people around me.

  • St. Patrick's Day.... It's over but I did not plan on celebrating and I didn't. I'm Irish but found no need to celebrate this year. Honestly, I have celebrated in the past but it was never to celebrate my heritage. It was just an excuse to get drunk and party all day. It's an American made holiday so celebrating my ancestors from Ireland really wasn't the purpose of the holiday. Oh well, it's a fun day. I don't even like the color green! I've had great times in the past going out and getting tanked, though. I always remember my BFF spilling her Shamrock shake on the floor of McDonald's and the wonderful crowded bars. Especially the Irish ones.

  • Well i was going to wear green, and drink but, we didn't have any money and was smoking green was what didn't get me pinched :P jk my girlfriend pinched me tho i thought i was wearin a green string. Feeling, well drunk, memories is being drunk lolz.

  • Well, I certainly wore green. And the memory I associate most? That would be my best friend pinching me if I didn't wear green. That would be why I wear it. :)

  • A little late but went to the pub and drank green beer!
  • I do. Imma gonna drink tea. Hot fragrant limpid tea.
