What is your muse?

If you're trying to create something, like a story, a composition, or a design, etc., do you find yourself imagining how others will react to it? Does that impede or enhance the creative process?

  • Totally if not you won't be able to get what you want and you won't receive good comments about it...
Even though it'll seem like not being yourself, you are doing something but putting first how the other people will react after seeing/reading/listening to it. It helps you enhance during the creative process...

  • When I'm writing something, I try  very hard to ignore the idea of people reacting to it. I think that if you imagine how people will react, it's going to change the outcome. I think it impedes the process. I'm afraid I'll shape the people or characters to fit what I want people to see them as instead of letting them form themselves and let the reader take them for what they are.
    I don't know. Maybe that's just me.

  • I always try to imagine what people might think about the stuff that I create. In ways it slows the Creative Process down for me, because I'm too busy trying to Perfect (SP?) the work that I already got done before I completly finish it, and by the time I'm done Correcting I no longer feel like Writing or Drawing anymore....
  • If you're trying to create something, like a story, a composition, or a design, etc., do you find yourself imagining how others will react to it? Does that impede or enhance the creative process? I do imagine others' reactions to my creations. Usually it's writing, so I'll use that. I think that, unfortunately, this impedes my work because I am very self-conscious, and I am also a perfectionist when it comes to writing stories or essays. Usually I will have some awesome idea for a story, but I will tell myself that no one will ever read it. If I think that people will read what I am writing, I tend to write differently because I don't think other people will like what I really want to write. I will change the way I write even if I don't like it as much just so other people won't think I am weird or something. Wow. After reading that over, I see how horrible that makes me sound. I am ashamed. I am going to try to be myself more in my writing and not worry so much about what others will think of it.

  • не в процессе.
уже по окончании процесса - да!

  • Yes, to both questions.
Because they have their own way on how they would like to stand out or be creative with the style.
of course it might be weird at first but hey, its whatever.
