Scorching day

On a scorching day, do you prefer the beach or an air-conditioned movie theater?

  • The Beach.
    Here's where I grew up...

  • On a scorching hot day, I would most certainly rather be at a nice, beach. I like being hot, because most of the time, you’re in control. Being cold causes me a great amount of pain. I also feel like I have greater mobility in the water. The beach also as made me cherish water as a drink so much more than before. When I think of water, I think of the cooling, refreshing, beverage. At the beach, its a win-win situation, because you can be outside and with other people. The warmth of the sun feels fantastic. If you stay out of the water, you'll die of heat, and if you go in the water, you'll die of thirst. I guess it all depends on if you like to swim. The movies were invented for a reason. They were made so we don’t have to spend our time out in the bitter cold and we do not have to think of how miserable people are in winter

  • на пляж...

  • If the weather is too hot or too cold, I like being inside.  In the summer, I prefer to be in an air-conditioned building.  Winter temperatures get too cold to venture out much.  In a scenario like that, I like being where it's warm.  In cold or hot weather, I like being where I can keep warm or cool.  Having allergies, therefore, means I have to keep up with the chaning weather conditions.
  • Gotta love the beach on a hot day nice time to get a tan! Ahaha and then a movie.
  • I prefer sitting in an air conditioned movie theater over being out in the heat and sun at a beach. Not just cuz I prefer it but also because my health issues force me to pick the option that has the air conditioner. So if it's above 75 and its humid and dew pts r up you will be seeing me indoors somewhere.

what about you all.... at the beach in the scorching heat, humidity, high dew pts etc or indoors at the movies in the air con?

  • On a scorching hot day, I would most certainly rather be in a nice, cold, dark, movie theater, than a hot, loud, annoying, sandy, windy, beach. I like being cold, because most of the time, your in control. Thats the glory of air conditioning, you can change it. If you cant change the temperature, you can just reach for your jacket and be as comfortable as can be. The heat on the other hand is an uncontrollable force. Nothing can make it seem cool enough to stand the heat of the Miami sun. You could be naked, drinking a glass of ice water, and still be annoyed from how bright and hot it is. I'm pretty big, so I sweat even when I'm in the air conditioning if I don't sit still for a while. Cross country and wrestling have taught me that heat is your worst enemy. They also have made me cherish water as a drink so much more than before. I had to run 3.1 miles today in a cross country meet, and the sun was relentless. Its not only the sun that keeps me away from the beach, its the sand, salt, and tools that crowd the shore. Sand is basically mother natures way of ruining your food, blinding you, and making you walk like a retard. The salinity in the water is just enough to drive you crazy when added to the factors of the sun and sand. Salt water isnt good for too much, its undrinkable, hurts your eyes, and hurts your cuts. When I think of water, I think of cooling, refreshing, beverage. At the beach, its a lose-lose situation, because if you stay out of the water, you'll die of heat, and if you go in the water, you'll die of thirst. The movies were invented for a reason. They were made so we dont have to spend our time at the retarded, sun-burn giving, sandy, salty, sunny, hot, boring, annoying beach.
  • Movie theater, plz. Scorching day + all day in the sun = >[

I'm not a masochist, thank you very much. xD
  • Why am I always so late with these question doohickeys? :/ The heat bugs me. Seriously. Born and raised in cold country, high temperatures amount to nothing but headaches, sunburn and general annoyance. I feel more comfortable in cooler climates. Always wrapped up like a snowflake. :P I guess I'm going for the air-conditioned movie theater. I feel more comfortable setting myself up for colder temperatures than hotter ones (too much stripping in the latter for my liking.) And who can turn down a movie? Of course, I'd never turn down the offer for a One Piece cosplay picnic at the beach either. :P
