A Bitter Pill to Swallow?

If you could get your exercise by taking a pill, would you? Why or why not?

  • No, because I don't know if there will be any side-effects. Taking a pill in replacement of exercise isn't very motivating either; I'd rather earn my way into living a healthy life and be proud of that than buying my way to achieve the perfect body stature and risking myself from side-effects and other health risk factors.

  • No. My motto is, "If anything sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

The exception to that motto is this:

"God never made a promise that was too good to be true." D.L. Moody

  • Why, oh why would I do that? A huge point of exercise is for the endorphins, how would a pill do that? Plus, it's stupid.
  • Need something to write about and the official Writer's Block archive not cutting it? Well come on over to , where we have over 500 old Writer's Blocks archived! Never run out of things to write about ever again! Also, if you're *still* bored after that, come over to this entry to answer our question "If you could write a Writer's Block, what would it be?"
  • I would because truthfully, sometimes i just dont have the time to exercise as much as i want to. As long as i could skip the pill a day and actually go exercise for real, i would be fine. I do like to exercise, but its hard for me because i sweat so dang much, so i cant have anything planned after my trip to the gym unless i can squeeze a shower in first, which usually i cant.
  • Hell yes! Because I am a lazy ass who finds no particular joy in any form of  exercise. Really. I don't like moving. I'll take a walk when I feel like it, or if I'm in the mood for a dance party then I'll dance, but really. I'm not the biggest fan of physical activity. I have to want to do it. Which I don't most of the time. I mean there are somethings I always like doing. I love going skiing, I love being on set crew, I love moving around a stage but....real "exercise" stuff. I hate it. Give me the drugs.
  • No way dude!  I don't want bad side effects plus I like working out.
  • As tempting as this question sounds I would have to say NO!  exercise is important to your body and your health and over the years I have grown to really ejoy exercise.  the high you feel after running a mile or working up a sweat on the eliptical machine is nothing that a pill could ever give you.  Excersise is important to the mind, body and soul.
  • As long as there were no nasty side effects, sure!

if I could get off 20 lbs or so I would probably feel more like exercising for real after!
