I'm currently taking one of my JPME courses, and I got tagged as the Deputy J4 for a group exercise. I'm fairly well versed in Navy and Marine logistics, but not Army. Berets are out, PCs are back in.
I'm in the minority that's disappointed by this. I really loved my beret, and now the only way I'll get it back is if I go airborne at some point. Boo! On the other hand, velcro is (mostly) on the way out! It's not quite a fair trade, as far as I'm concerned, but it's nice to know that I won't have to worry about losing name tapes anymore.
