Okay, so today I was on my game, and well, my cleric of good (and healing Goddess) got bitten by a vampire. Now she's a vampire, CE, and she has these weird abilities. I kind of got pissed off at the guy who did it because he didn't ask before he did such a drastic change on my cleric..and I think he may have took it personally. He sent me an email saying he was burned out from nwn, maybe he's just being emo. He wanted to show me the nifty godly powers she has now, like um.. turning into a wolf, turning into mist, and being able to port across the server. Which I admit is really neat. So yea, I'm not sure if I'm going to keep her a vamp or find a DM to fix her. I am really amused that my cleric got turned. It's like the ultimate insult to turn a cleric of the opposing side.. It would be interesting to RP, at least.

It kind of reminded me of a certain.. incident where a cleric got turned into a shadow wraith..

Not sure what is going on tomorrow, but had a lovely visit with blimix. Yay Blimix! *Grin*

All in all, for $6 it was a good thing and we didn't even get kicked out. Perhaps next month, Jon willing and needing, I'll attend again. I wish I knew all the character's names though so I could write those down instead of the few that I did know. People were nice, games were excellent, but I think newcomers should be told to bring their own food and drink, for I was quite peckish at the begining and wished that I had time to pick up something before hand. Or maybe I just missed that memo. ~end review~

To all of those that lost their lives or tried to save lives in 9/11, today I salute you.It sounds cliche, but my heart goes out to the families that have lost many five years ago. There are even more that go unnoticed, the ones that are truly Forgotten. For those Nameless Ones, I also remember. But we must remember that in order to break the cycle of violence, we must reach out and seek out compassion in others. Though our hearts hurt, we must realize and seek out how we could prevent it from happening again (If possible). The reason for all of this, is not an "Attack on Freedom" persay, but an attack on (what I believe to be) wrongful legislative policies.We must fix those, in the best ways we can. It is human nature to lash out, and perhaps by attacking innocents, the terrorists have made us realize that the United States is not as Immune or as Mighty or as Well-Loved as we would all like to think. (Which is faulty reasoning anyways; what makes us believe that Our Society is better then others? Sure, there are certain 'standards' of living that we can all live up to, but look at our own internal structure and you'll find that we are also violating these standards..) Violence does not rationalize more Violence. Operation Iraqi Freedom isn't going as well as we would have liked it to: only causing more hate and distrust of the United States. And most of all, it's causing more Death. What happened to us cherishing life, in any form, be it Arab, Muslim or whatever, black or white or yellow? Remember the dead, yes.. but remember the everlasting goal: We may never have peace in this world, but we can have acceptance of this fact and work our best towards it. It will come when everyone reckonizes that we are all in this huge mess together, whether we like it or not. Carry Love's torch in your heart, and it shall touch another.. Slowly, like ripples in a quiet pond, the force will grow stronger. Over time, and many struggles we will learn. Our eyes are open, though the Dreaming is ever close by. But Ignorance is not an excuse.
