I also have some armor/jewelry pieces from my old Terra (FFVI) costume if anyone is interested: http://www.fleur-de-lys.net/transfer/ebay/terra1.jpg . The shoulder armor is made from polystyrene plastic and has velcro on the backside so you can attach it to shoulder straps. So Lionel has once again expanded my cosplay list (which is just about the LAST thing I need right now! haha).

Several weeks ago Lionel lent me the old GI Joe movie. A few days ago he was asking me if I wanted to cosplay anyone from that series, and I said, well I dunno, I'm a little too young, I don't really remember anything from this show... except that I thought Scarlett was cute. So he started linking me to stuff about Scarlett......

OMG. O_O I had NO idea she and Snake-Eyes were an item!! (Well maybe because they didn't really show that in the old cartoon XD!) I ADORE Snake-Eyes! My interest instantly doubled and I started reading up on Scarlett and the various GI Joe series and plotlines. I was hooked!

THEN I found Sigma 6, the latest GI Joe series that came out in '05. O_O It's like GI Joe the anime! And omg Scarlett is ADORABLE!! (even if her southern drawl is quite a mismatch with her anime-like features haha) Thanks Lionel. That's two more costumes to the list. Possibly four, since the live-action movie and newest cartoon series are both coming out next year.....

I think I'm going to make Hot Rod too. Yeah.

Wondercon is going to be awesome.

Okay, I should not marathon series. I don't feel very good right now. XD; Been staring at the screen for way too long.

But, :OOO @ Soul Eater. I caught up! Well, up to 24...but omg! It got GOOD! I was almost starting to lose interest, too. I'm glad it picked up and now there's a plot! There was also some pretty awesome fight scenes. I love Stein. *__* ASLKDJDLK @ Kid!Stein and Spirit!! I was d'awing so much at Kid!Chrona and Maka, too. Sooo cuteee!!!

Also, SOUL/MAKA FOR LIFEEEE!! Yes, I'm actually supporting a het pairing! They're just too adorable for words. But then I also like Stein/Spirit...:x

So mm, I decided to do a casual Maka outfit for ACC. It was between this and this. Ideally, I'd love to try the outfit from the second ending but it looks like a pain in the butt to pull together. So I think I might just go buy an orange hoodie and wear jeans. Cuz technically Maka does have these items in her wardrobe even if she isn't seen wearing them together. XD;; Cheating, I know. But hey, I'm entitled to be lazy and not want to sew so soon after a con.

Oh oh and does anyone have any pointers for making plushies? Or point me to some tutorials? Felt should be fine for the material? I have the cutest idea for a little something to go w/ Maka! :3

It's racoonbearthings making chocolate coffee. Can there be anything more wonderful.
I got this fabric at the train station one station away from the Miyazaki Museum in Japan. Mitch and I went through the station like 2 times trying to find the fabric store. While I shopped for fabric, he sat and read his book about North Korea in the men's suiting department. :D He is a sweet husband. I based the skirt sorta on the MagicWhip AP skirt. I've been wanting to make a skirt with small pleats like this for a while. It was surprisingly zen and easy. Basically just marked off every 1 1/4 inch and drew each line towards itself! (it's just a big rectangle with pleats marked off.)

ALSO, I'm mostly done with my steampunk outfit! :)

I finished uploading San Diego Comic-con 2008 photos. Mostly represents: the Squeenix booth, Spaced panel, Venture Brothers and Robot Chicken, Mystery Science Theater 3000 20th anniversary panel, Chuck panel, and Mythbusters panel. I believe some people have been waiting on Mythbusters. I wish I had more good ones but between my camera issues and the fact that I'm quite sure panel photos are an art form . . . did what I could. I guess I'll do the crash course version report tomorrow so they're not in a total vacuum.

Now my Tylenol has worn off and I am relentlessly being chased by a mosquito so I'm going to bed. I guess I can finish deciding what to use my Sideshow gift card on tomorrow (must...resist...lifesize right hand of doom...)
