I went out to Colorado Springs Pridefest to support the gay and lesbian community for a couple of hours today. I saw
I don't have time to go through and label all of the photos I took, but feel free to browse the directory I uploaded them in.
In the meantime, enjoy a photo of the Kilted Wonder,

I had a big, long thought process last night (while I couldn't sleep) about how the "American Century" was really more 1870 to 1970 than it was the twentieth century or even from WW1 through the current period as some people say. If I have time and can remember it all, I'll post about that in the next week.

Three Whole Dollars...
I just had a patron return a book she found under her car seat, and she was horrified that she owed three dollars in overdue fees. I've seen people who owe over $100, so $3 doesn't even make me blink. I simultaneously felt bad for this patron who was obviously upset and wanted to laugh.

Still planning on hiking tomorrow
Chris and I have been allotted one trip a year for the last five years. We actually get go to on two this year!
So, I'm not going to let my "going" issue put a stop to our first trip tomorrow. We are going to be hiking La Plata Peak. I called Chris this morning to let him know what happened last night. He was, naturally, concerned about me being uncomfortable or in pain. I reassured him that ti's really more of a nuisance than anything and that I am absolutely not in any pain.
I'll be staying up at Chris and Julie's house tonight. We have to leave around 2:00 tomorrow morning to get to the trailhead by 5:00. This will be our route.
